Hmm, you claim you want things to make more sense but then make them weightless? Anyway, as for the amount of resources recovered from an item, I see you and some commenters below think just because an item might contain, say, 4 screws, that scrapping said item should give you a 100% return! LMFAO at all you youngsters (i.e. anyone under 50) who've never actually tried salvaging & fixing stuff in this modern throw-away society - especially when trying to recover and reuse worn out parts or old screws etc! Anyway, that's what the scrapper perk mechanism is for - the more adept you are at taking things apart, salvaging the bits and finding use for them, the more you'll recover!
Please note I am not criticising this mod's existence - if you want things easier, more scrap and no weight, go for it! But come on, be honest about it - you aren't objectively improving scrapping nor making it more sensible, you're actually cheating at it and having it make less sense.
Like I said everyone has their own opinion on what makes sense, if it doesn't make sense for you or your playthrough then don't use it. Also most people aren't carrying ALL their junk on them at once, that's what settlements are for, it allows for an easy sort without a need for a sorting mod.
and actually you make a good point, not everyone wants their resources to be weightless, so I'll upload an alternative version for people who like more of a challenge.
The scrapping in this game is absurd especially when it comes to the materials needed when upgrading firearms, etc. I've had moments of not having enough adhesive to make a basic weapon sight, this is absurd. The scrapping mechanic much like the building and settlement mechanic, is meant to be a timewaster, as are many mechanics in video games, it has nothing to do with cheating or realism at all. You're not imparting wisdom, you're just being condescending because you disagree with people's play style Like dude, it's a single player game, there is no cheating fyi. I have 4 kids IRL, I don't want to spend all my game time scrapping items. If you want to play loot simulator that's on you, old man, but my time is valuable.
Here's an option... if you scrap a bunch of stuff, it gets bound into Shipments. No need for Global stash if you have that and it can unclutter your... well, clutter.
Very cool. I mean it about shipments, though. This is something that should have always been the case. As it is, I am usually confused as all Hell when, say, Dr. Penske doesn't accept shipments of Fertilizer, just the bags.
Thanks! I believe the mod you're asking for is FallUI - Inventory, if you're talking about the screen. If you're talking about the actual pipboy its the Black Widow Pipboy. Hope I helped!
i never focused on resources much in the past, id just tag what i needed for my gun, get it, and then use it. now i grab every junk item in containers and anything that doesnt make the room empty. but even then when i feel like i grabbed hundreds of pounds of items, i find out i just barely have enough aluminum or copper or wtv for just one mod for my gun and then i resort to cheating in 1000 of each junk and use headcanon for wtv faction im with to make it make sense as to how i have it. def gonna get this mod for sure. "scrap gun for 1 screw" when theres clearly like 5 screws on it lol
I knew the scrapping was a pile of crottled greep when a stack of four ties gave less rubber than... four tires. Scrap perks aside, the formulae are a complete joke and if I never see a patch of 40 tarberries give 1 (ONE!) tarberry on harvest again, it'll be too soon, so please join in the efforts for that as well. (that includes things like Badberry, er, Radberry bushes from Life Finds A Way; game balance my old and flabby ass!)
Yeah I'm trying to figure out how to increase numbers for scrapping stuff like trees, fences, bushes, stuff like that, and I need to patch Life Finds A Way for my own playthrough so I can at the bare minimum make the junk items have sensible resource amounts. So hopefully I can knock both of those out for both you and I lol

I'll check it out?
Can I ask what mod makes the pipboy look HD?
