About this mod

Sort of middle ground between Vanilla Fo4 and FNV/Fo3 style.

Changelogs
While I love the Fo3/FNV-styled UI, I don't hate Vanilla Fo4's UI. I tried to merge the two.

Notable changes
  • Most bars are the same length as Vanilla (hp, ap, enemy hp, etc.)
  • Uses Vanilla Compass. I liked to see location icons.
  • Uses Vanilla Quickloot. If you use new borders, a tiny black dot appears in the top-left corner.
  • Uses Vanilla crosshair.
  • Changed alpha value for empty containers and Button hints to resemble vanilla more closely.
  • Move up the XP bar so it doesn't interfere with the workbench UI.
  • Unified message/tutorial/quest vault boy positions. Also, prompt messages aligned with them.
  • Item rollover menu moved up closely to the center of the screen.
  • Rad, Fatigue Icon size changes and alignment
  • AP bar, Ammo, and grenade Counter are not permanently visible. You can tick the checkbox back in the MCM menu but will result below bug in the dialogue menu. (Download the optional file for permanently visible bars with wider gaps.)

OR you can make some space between them. Will look a bit weird tho.

Alternate version

++ 2.0 version utilizes Fallout New Vegas - A FallUI HUD layout's UI Framework elements for FNV compass and crosshair.
While mostly similar to the previous layout, moving the compass back to the bottom left corner granted us much-needed space. Classic crosshair only spread horizontally so I could move up the item rollover menu almost to the center of the screen. Perk Icon Vault Boy goes back into the newly secured space between them.

One thing I like to mention is that FallUI HUD has a tiny black dot in the Quickloot menu.

This dot is visible even if you use a vanilla bracket, but is much more noticeable when using fo3/fnv borders.
It can't be covered, but if you can bear it, this is a much more classical choice.

Recommendation

Modofonto
has some cutoff issues. I recommend Compact Fonts. It is slim and modern while retaining the iconic classic style.
