The reason I chose to patch that is that I needed Minutemen Armor that could be used to build bases in the worst locations, like Red Rocket Glowing Sea Settlement.
In conjunction with a wetsuit, it looks essentially like an armored spacesuit, like in The Expanse, and should be useful, with my adjustments, for tackling the hazards of extreme radioactivity and giant mutants alike.
It is very expensive for a reason, but if you want to alter the stats again, that's up to you. Personally I find I have a ton of caps and nothing to spend them on as I play games with a lot of mods with a lot of side quests, and end up absurdly high level.
The original has no bodyslide etc, and I don't have the skills to make that. The Marine Wetsuit works best underneath. I might alter that as well if the whim takes me.
