   so quick question: if we go the Archive Extractor route, do we still need the esp to make the sound files take effect? i mean i presume yes but not sure

      Well, that's an old question - buuuut, I don't think so as it appears to overwrite the fallout4.esm files.  For anyone in the modern age that wonders.
