Could be that the RobCo feature I use is not working properly with the Alpha. If so there isn't much I can do outside saying my mod is not compatible with NG.
New vanilla ones should get the "New" as default, while the rest will get "Dirty" and "Cleaned" option.
Was no way to filter for New ones for mods, so it's just vanilla for now. But Mod Added ones will still have the Cleaned option, so you can still get the color, just have to pay a tiny bit more materials for it.
Hello was looking to send you a direct message but didn't see the option so I'll comment here. First thank you so much for making FO4 so much better with your hard work, you modders are wonderful people. I was wondering since you have a lot of mods that make other mods better through various patches and fixes etc that you could take a look at SCARLET by terso. She is a secondary dog companion with a great backstory but sadly was not updated since 2016 and the mod author is no longer active. He or she gave permission to do whatever with the mod in the Posts on 06 March 2016. I had used the mod a while ago and was going to start another character with Scarlet but not sure if it would play nice with all the updating since then. Only issue I ever had then was I thought she was too overpowered as I could start a fight and then sit back and relax and the dog would kill everybody. Anyway I know nothing about modding, wish I did, so if your interested in taking a look then thanks so much in advance. Cheers
I tend to stick to mods I end up using myself as I'm more than busy with fixing stuff up that is in my load order, so would be a pass on Scarlet I'm afraid.
That said, any particular reason you prefer Scarlet over Dogmeat? If it's the extra "companion" part, there is a simple mod Everyone's Best Friend that'd do the job there. Also a bunch of mods that let you change how he looks.
Thank you for the quick response. Yes I know about Everyone's Best Friend but in the early days of FO4s release I had a problem with the mod where dogmeat would wander off, was unresponsive etc so I never used it again. Maybe I will try modding someday would love to be able to make my own content anyway take care and thanks again!
Works. Wants to paint anything with a vault suit keyword, which has... interesting results. Or no results at all, but hey, it's trying. Unsure why you went with the Dirty tex as a baseline, but that's a small matter. More customization is always welcome.
Any oddities you noticed? What I did was that rather than having the Vault Tec Lining provide the "Paint Attach Point" I used RobCo patcher to give it to all the outfits with that Keyword. This way all the outfits that use the Vault Tec Lining, but isn't actually a Vault Suit won't get it.
Afaik it's supposed to replace dirty with dirty and clean with clean.
Well, I have a lot of bits with the keyword, and not all of them use proto textures. So sometimes it works and sometimes it dosen't. I have not done an exaustive test, just a few suits. I do have robco installed. Works 100% on actual vault suits, although TheKite's Slavesuit ignored it. That one has it's own texture sets, however.
Dunno about the dirty/clean thing, I usually use the clean, but when I paint it I get dirty. Likely just some wierd conflict on my end. Modding is an art, not a science =)
The stuff that still gets it which shouldn't would definitely have gotten it without my change. In vanilla a LOT of outfits get the attach point to it. I used this method to reduce it, but will slip through to some stuff that shouldn't have it still. But should be a lot better than without the change applied.
As for the dirty vs clean... I checked the files and it's supposed to replace dirty with dirty and clean with clean... not sure why it's not for you.

i do have RobCo Patcher - NG - Alpha (cause i'm playing on ng)
i installed proto vault suit (blue)
then i installed the proto standalone from (from the optional files)
then this mod.
proto vault suit works, but i don't see an option on the armor workbench to change the color with this mod
So it's either all or nothing. Or at least it would be without RobCo Patcher.
So will have to come up with a fancy way of doing this that makes sense :D

Tracked and endorsed.
