    if you are using the unlimited version then don't worry about updating to the latest update.

    so I noticed that a couple of Dead NPCs were selected during a new game start (who are not in the starting location)
    (so by the time, you reach them. the effects of the mods would have turned off, I assumed)
    Let me know if there is any issues with the unlimited edition

    for anyone, who has seen an invisible dead body while using this mod.
    1. in console, click on the NPC and type INV and see if an armor called "Armor_DBF_Unlimited" is there (equip and unequip it)

    2. make a note of which NPC is having the issue (name and/or FormID) it will help me isolate the problem areas.

    Does this mod in any way interfere with companions? I've noticed Piper and Preston sometimes suddenly have invisible bodies when they get too far from PC and than spawn next to him, re-equiping their armor fixes it for sometime, also happens when they are in power armor, power armor turns invisible, telling them to exit i notice all of sudden the power armor is missing legs and arms along with chest piece i check the companion who was wearing it and its stored in their inventory for some reason

    Also it's mostly dead Raiders who have invisible bodies, taking some armor pieces from their inventory usually fixes that bug but the bug persists if you reload the cell

    Ignoring my troubleshooting posts from before (that particular issue seems to be SS2 issue not here), I am still finding vanilla bodies invisible in the open world.

    The mod description said to "run" it. Is there a bat file or a holotape I need?

    Edit: I still am finding dead bodies that are invisable. They also will go back to being invisable after I save and reload. I have been scratching my head and researching enough where I'm giving up on BodyGen, least for now. I was using ZeX-ZBG mod because it was recommended by BodyTalk v3 mod. Seems I am not the only one with the issue and its something where I want to throw my hands up on, least for right now. The idea of having npcs randomly have different bodies is cool, but not for this headache.
    Something of note, for anyone who want to reset the morphs, run the "hhbd_morphdebug" mod. There is the reset all NPCs of their bodygen option and just save and reload and its all back to just using 1 per male/female npcs from your bodyslide presets.

      sorry for the delay, (I didn't see the message below, I will get back to you)

      what I mean by 'run it' is simply load it, (there should be nothing for you to do for this mod to work, no settings) *it gives an armor piece to everyone and if they are alive, it gets deleted but if they are dead, then it unequips (thus turning the body visible) and if you quickload then it unequips again.

      so about the existing invisible dead bodies,
      did they exist before you started the mod?
      or
      go into console, click on that NPC and type 'inv', and see if there is an object called "Armor_DBF_Unlimited" if one exists
      type the following
      equip Armor_DBF_Unlimited
      unequip Armor_DBF_Unlimited

      and see if that works.

      which NPCs by the way?

      Tried what you just said on my playthrough and it doesn't work. When I type inv nothing happens but no error is given then when I type

      equip Armor_DBF_Unlimited
      unequip Armor_DBF_Unlimited

      it says commands equip/unequip do not exist

      sorry for the delay, can you tell me the name of the body?

      because I noticed an invisible body in the mod 'Atomic World' and it turns out that the dead human NPC was a "Synth Gen 2 Valentine" Race which I had forgotten about,

      now, I am checking if there is any more races that could mimic dead humans

    I am having a small issue.  The mod works as expected mostly. I reload a save it works, when I first encounter a dead body in the world, it works (when it was always invisible without your mod).  So most of the time it is fine.  But after it initially works, if I go into another location and come back (like the red rocket mole rat den), the invisible body glitch is back. I've been testing on the dead raider by Sanctuary bridge and the pile of bodies in Hardware town and can reproduce it. 

    Edit: Also if it is broken, I save and reload, it gets fixed.

    I've been researching for a while and can't fix it.  Appreciate any help.  Love the mod, thanks!

      Same exact thing, found a dead body in a tub, was perfectly fine, went to the sewers next to the house to kill blood bugs, came back to clean out the building and invisible body was there. Save/Reload fixed it. So AFAIK, works for first time and loads/reloads but does not work when re-entering zone after successful initial encounter unless there's been a hard reload.

    Weird thing is now i see living NPC with that bug since i installed this bugfix. Any ideas why? could be a mod conflict perhaps or the load order?, im using cbbe 3bbb and bodytalk3.

      I am not sure, because it should affect them at all, the script contains a kill switch if the user is alive, but it shouldn't turn the body invisible.

      can you give me the locations of the NPC affected?

      I was in the underground Concord when it happened for me. First time I installed the mod because I noticed preset dead bodies where invisible. Was doing the Sim Settlement 2 quest line. After I finished in the Maintenace cell, I left the cell and the custom companion Ivy I had was then invisible. Took one of her armors and she became visible.

      Uninstalled the mod, left the current cell I was in and entered a new one and she was fixed. 

      So I can confirm, this mod is affecting living.

      Edit: I did more tests with the mod. I was still in Concord, went in the museum and then left back outside. Ivy is still ok and visible. So not sure why it didn't work when I was in the underground. In an added note, I'm sure this is just the fault of the way the game is, sure wish the mod fixes existing dead bodies that I already saw.

      next time, you are playing the game, can you console 'inv' on Ivy because like I said, it should have deleted itself.

      it should be called "Armor_DBF_Unlimited" or "Dead Body Fixer (Unlimited)" (maybe drop the Un) *tell me if the Un is dropped?
      don't bother looking in the inventory of Ivy using Pipboy or actor inventory. (it is invisible)

      I will try to emulate the issue (I haven't seen it yet)

      It happened again at the Vault-Tech Regional HQ Sub Basement. I did the inv command I can't find any items you mentioned. Each item checks out for what she got.

      I'm using Fusion Girl with my own bodyslide preset. Only custom clothes she got on is TheKite Vault-Tech Slave outfit. She also has leather armor pieces.

      I wish to have a screenshot but my game is refusing to let me take a screenshot of the command. Even Windows Snipping Tool isn't working for me.

      So far it only happened twice. Both times I believe are custom cells made by Sim Settlements 2.

      Edit: Something I also noticed is just the head is floating. She only has one visible hand if she has her pistol drawn.

      Edit2: Also strange, that I noticed that is if I enter the sub basement cell from the basement, she goes invisible 'cept the head, but if I load the auto save of entering that cell, she is normal.

      Edit3: I did more digging and to what I'm getting reports in that Sim Settlements 2 Extended addon might be a cause. I installed SS2 with the chapter 3 AIO. This should have included extended but trying to install the addon separately.

    Oh, yes, that bug. Always undid if you removed some armor bit but it they had but the one garment on...

      so that was the easy part, simply adding an armor piece to a NPC and then unequip it to fix the bug. (unequip was the key part)
      but the real solution was to give it to everyone to equip and unequip it. (and this includes modded NPCs as well)
      and that is what Robco Patcher recently added to that mod. (the ability to do that)

      update-> sorry, and the critical part is to reapply the effect when you load a savegame (I forgot about that part)
      but giving it to everyone was the key.

    Added an unlimited Version.
    Added a FOMOD

    I should mention that it won't be an instant change because it uses a different armor. (There are two armors now, Limited and Unlimited)
    so it will work on newly spawned dead NPCs (and not existing)

      The obvious solution is to save, wait a while indoors without corpses, and then play on. Or start a new game. Honestly, scripts can take a while to play out in any case.

      one more thing, the update uses a new armor for it unlimited option, (it is easier for bug fixing, it is designed for use and forget)
      if you want to change the Limited armor into an unlimited armor then do the following...
      1. download and run a ESP editing tool (Creation kit, Fo4edit, etc)
      2. load Dead Body Fixer.esp
      3. go to the limited armor and change bool_Unlimited from 'false' to 'true'
      4. save and done

      this will change existing limited armors into unlimited armors.

    It's so weird, I've used Bodygen before and never had the issue of dead bodies being like this. I did a fresh save and redownloaded all my mods to play SS2 chapter 3 and during this playthrough every now and then already dead bodies will be like this (I mean bodies that are there for decoration that the player hasn't killed).  It's the weirdest thing, I thought it had something to do with a problem converting all the outfits and morphs because this is my first playthrough using BodyTalk and CBBE in my Bodygen, but it turns out it's just a regular occurrence. Either way I'm glad I found this, it was getting real annoying seeing this while exploring.

      it has been an interest of mine to find a solution to this problem,
      it wasn't until Robco Patcher added the "objectsToAdd" to the mod that anything could be done.
      because dead bodies are completely resistant to spells/perks. (or well enough for stop any of my scripts from working on them)

      Yes, Robco Patcher seems to have opened a lot of possibilities for the modding community.

      By the way, do you have any idea why this bug occurs? Is it bug within BodySlide, the game itself, or an incompatibility between mods?

      I love Robco Patcher, it is brilliant, a few of my mods uses it (or SPID)

      I am not entirely sure, I had an idea and it is related to the comment I made about dead bodies,
      "because dead bodies are completely resistant to spells/perks. (or well enough for stop any of my scripts from working on them)"

      maybe the bodygen morphs doesn't update completely on dead bodies, (Looksmenu uses a DLL so I am not sure)
      or maybe it has nothing to do with bodygen and it is a problem with the game itself. *looksmenu just activates the bug

      There's been a lot of theorizing about this problem in the LM forum. It sounds likely that there's a race condition when rendering corpses and so whether you see it happen to a particular corpse depends on if body morphs happen before or after the worn items get equipped to its mesh.

    This seems to work on/off.  It will work for a while, then stop.

    It might be tied to a save load (similar to the Random Overlay Framework issue) but I'm not certain.

      so by stopping, do you mean that
      1. you leave the area for a couple of saves and loads and then come back to an invisible body
      2. you do a couple of saves and loads in the area of the body and it becomes invisible.

      btw this mod works in terms of saves and reloads.

      After a save reload it seems to not 100% apply the fix to invisible bodies.

      It might be something else interfering with it then if that has been addressed.

      which body? (I mean which NPC(Location)?)

      also I will be testing the latest update, I simply added a version with a unlimited lifespan (instead of a one or two save)
