I found a way to make it work with the default vanilla animation records by swapping the animation event. Have a look here: Power Armor Quick Enter Exit
Just wanted to say 'Thank you.' For the same reasons you gave for making this mod,I never installed any of those other mods, even though I _really_ wanted to speed up that damned entry animation. Appreciate it. * Update: Mod works so nice. When I want to be in that armor *swooop!* I'm in that armor. Ahhhhh. Endorsed!
I am wondering if you would mind if I did a mod highlight of your mod, I saw it on the hot mods list and thought it would be a good fit for my channel gizmoandback gaming on YouTube.
I have to agree with you on the animations of some of the other mods out there.
If you agree it would be available to watch on Wednesday the 18th of October at 9am EST USA.
Again the mod is a very solid one, thanks for all your work.
I watched your mod highlight, and there were a few things I noticed that you might want to change if YouTube is intended to be more than just a hobby for you. If it is just a hobby, then please ignore the rest of this message. It's not important.
1) Your intro is too static, quiet and boring. It made me want to close the video immediately.
2) You should consider writing a script and practicing it. It'll help speed up and smooth out your dialogue. Right now, its quite slow and has lots of pauses. If you prefer to do it without a script, then consider doing streaming for a while. Having to interact with and entertain an audience while you play may help you to make the dialogue flow better and be more interesting even without having thought everything out in advance.
3) Your audio is very quiet. I had to double my volume just to hear you. There were other problems with the audio, but I'm not sure if that was due to poor mic quality, or having the mic too close to your face. They were minor compared to the volume issue though.
4) You didn't explain why this quick enter/exit mod is better/different than the others that exist and have been in use for years, nor did you showcase the mod in combat to show if/how it functioned there. You could also have discussed if/how this impacts companions, though this is obviously less important. The purpose of a mod highlight is to show off the mod and help people decide if they want to download it, so more information that might help with that decision being provided succinctly is pretty much always better.
5) There are several Bethesda mod reviewers out there with large subscriberships. Try checking them out and seeing what they're doing that you might want to do too. For instance, MXR mods made fast paced, interesting and informative mod reviews, once you look past all the humor and perviness. Brodual made videos much closer to yours, but he's clearly rehearsed what he's going to say ahead of time and speaks clearly, evenly, and at a volume that is easy to hear and with a cadence that audially interesting.
Did you look through the comments section of that mod? Not exactly encouraging to get folks to use it. The bug reports leave something to be desired as well.
The "Power Armor Animation Changes" mod has old versions still available with fixed bugs people continue to report. Also fyi this mod edits the exact same records as "Power Armor Animation Changes" esp.
I checked the records of both of our mods to confirm and I see that you and I went about doing things differently. Since you said they both edit the same records, then that leads me to believe you are well aware of how to work xEdit and you either: a) purposefully withheld information about the differences between mine and yours or b) you did not bother to check the differences between them.
You also said people were reporting issues on old files, yet a simple search of your mod shows them to be reporting issues on version 1.0 - that is your latest version. None of them have reported resolution to the issues they brought to your attention.
I wanted to give your mod a try, but have run into an issue. When I'm installing the mod, Vortex says it's missing master "Better Power Armor - Redux.esp".

Your whole comment looks like disinformation.
