This mod reminds me how I wish we could attach/detach scopes, bayonets and suppressors AT WILL. You really think soldiers go back home, to their work bench, to put their bayonets on and come back to the battle field?! LOL XD

I guess a commander would then send some sorts of letters to everybody to be able to command them to attack again.
Can you add the recon mod to this? That would be a very nice way to tag enemies without the recon scope on your gun. This would be made even better if this was a binoculars model.
The format is NIF but adding a different model without remaking the holding animation from scratch isn't really ideal. Not really my area of expertise.
Ooooh, I like this mod! Love using a night vision monocle for night exploration (especially since I have Darker Night installed) or being able to tag enemies with a recon monocle instead of wasting the scope slots on weapons on either. Thanks a bunch for this one. When the GECK gets released, maybe you can reskin them to resemble actual monocles
I'm a bit rusty with NIF editing but as far as I know the GECK alone won''t be enough as the new NIF format hasn't been fully decoded yet for import/export.
Well importing is certainly possible looking at newest weapon mods so binoculars WOULD be possible; just the wonky anims and ammo counter would be still there though....and the holding anim would be akward too
Exactly why I made this mod, there's a number of people who don't use scoped weapons at all but could use a little help from binoculars. Too bad it seems there's no way to remove the rack slide animations but I guess we can all live with that.

Not easily done I'm afraid. All recon scopes meshes lack weight attributes, meaning that Havok physics won't apply. So if you accidentally drop the scopes from the inventory there's a high chance you won't be able to pick them back up because they tend to disappear into walls furniture etc. I might do it anyway and add a big disclaimer though.
I'm not really a 3D modeling guy and can't really tell if I need the CK for that. In due time I might reinstall NV and see how the binoculars mod was done
