Hey just want to give you a heads up of a potential conflict! I do just want to prefix this by saying this is perhaps the sloppiest most nihilistic load order I've produced for a Bethesda game. Truly I have defied the laws of machine and god and it is only through sheer spite that this save file is playable, but on the off chance that its not my fault I figured you should have a heads up!
I've started getting CTDs when looking at stringers in the inventory, it seems to be a conflict between your mod and S.R.O. - Syringer Overhaul, I uninstalled your mod and the Syringer stopped throwing a temper tantrum bad enough to ruin reality when I opened my pipboy. I can send you the Buffout crash log in DMs if you'd like?
It also happens with Immersive Setter's rename syringer. Can't drop, move to a container or scrap it.
EDIT: Workaround, at least for the Rename Syringer: Fire ALL the rename syringes and then the you can store the rename syringer w/o a crash. Not sure how that will work with other syringers. So the problem seems to be with weapons that have an inventory. Might also be why the Junk Jet also crashes.
What's that Todd Howard meme? "It just works" Well I was in Diamond City, annoyed at various collectables marked as stealing and finally I gave up and snuck. The xp eased the sting for me when I finally stole lol.
So I think I found a bug: Pickpocketing Caps gives an insane amount of EXP - 20x the caps as EXP, and the EXP cap has 0 effect on this. I was able to pickpocket Hawthorne who was carrying 50 caps, for 1000 exp. I seem to recall a similar issue with another Fallout 4 (or maybe Skyrim) mod, related to money.
What I think is happening is every cap is being taken out individually in some kinda loop? and thats flagging multiple single pickpockets to your script bypassing the iExperiencePickPocketMax metric.
Any way to invoke the vanilla "+XP" meter UI element? Just to make it feel a little more like it was part of the original game?
Also, I use the mod Combined Combat XP (F4SE) to reduce the amount of xp gain notifications in combat. Any chance of adding a similar option to this? As in, delay the notification until after nothing has been stolen for 10-20 seconds and then combine it all into a single notification.
Very nice idea, I just installed the mod. I also use Improved - Animated Accessible Backpack (Stand Alone). I now also get experience points when I take things out of my own backpack. I know this is high level whining, but how can I avoid getting XP for taking it from my own backpack?
Excellent idea. Unfortunately I had to uninstall the mod because the additional experience when using my own backpack levels up the character far too quickly.
I hope uninstalling it while the game is running doesn't cause any problems.
