This small mod adds Glowing Mirelurk Hatchlings to the game to add a bit more variety into the game. Enjoy!

🦀 Glowing Hatchlings
 
This mod changes Mirelurk Hatchlings so that every 10th Mirelurk Hatchling will spawn as a Glowing Mirelurk Hatchling.

Glowing Mirelurk Hatchlings will spawn from Mirelurk Queens and Mirelurk Eggs, just like normal Mirelurk Hatchlings.
They will not drop Nuclear Material upon death like other glowing creatures. This is intentional, because Mirelurk Queens spawn infinite Mirelurk Hatchlings if you let them. This could be abused to farm Nuclear Material easily, to avoid this issue they won't drop any Nuclear Material. They are also not stronger than normal Mirelurk Hatchlings, but have the same radiation aura as Glowing Radroaches.
 

 
📜 Load Order

You need to load my mod after Unofficial Fallout 4 Patch.esp, and before any mods that add/regenerate Precombines like PRP.
This mod doesn't break Precombines or touches them in any way, loading mods before Precombines mods is simply a good practice.
So basically load it where you would load any other mod in your load order.

This is not an esl-flagged esp file, as this plugin can't be saved as an esl file or esl-flagged file according to xEdit. It will count towards your load order plugin limit.
 


 

⚠️ Compatability


This mod does not really conflict with (m)any mods. The only known mod conflicts are:

I am not aware of any other mods that would conflict with my mod. (This doesn't mean that there aren't any such mods!)

By using xEdit I've checked if my mod conflicts with Sim Settlements 2 or Mutant Menagerie, and I couldn't find any conflicts.
You can use my mod together with these mods.

Glowing Animals Emit Light does not conflict with my mod, but the Glowing Hatchlings won't benefit from the new lights from that mod without a patch.

This mod requires the Unofficial Fallout 4 Patch (UFO4P) and changes the quest Taking Independence to avoid NPCs yelling combat voice lines at Glowing Mirelurk Hatchlings that would not fit ("Shoot them in the eyes!"). This mod is compatible with every other mod, as long as they don't touch the Mirelurk Hatchlings or conflict with the changes that UFO4P does to the quest. I am currently not aware of any mods that do that.
