Of all the anti-materiel rifles I tested this is the one I left in my game. It's not the most beautyful or fancy, but it's simple and straightforward and fulfills all the tasks I need.
I have a lot of strong monsters in my game and low hp settings for humans, including the player. Vanilla bullet spongey combat is impossible, I need a hard hitting main weapon. Bolt action AMR versions are too slow against big monsters, the M82 mods only include scoped versions which makes the weapon useless.
My only critique here is that you need Gun Nut 4 for the muzzle brake, same as for the "silencer", I changed this. Sadly almost no modern weapon mod includes a holster apparel for Visible Weapons, I use the C-VWAS apparel for the AX 50, not perfect but better than nothing. I don't like quest injection and put the rifle manually into the gunner lists. It has 500 damage unmodded in my game, so getting hit (currently Nora has 160 hp and it will not rise a lot) should be avoided.
After I found one AMR, visiting dangerous areas becomes a bit more relaxed. I still need 4 shots to kill a radscorpion, sigh.
glad your enjoying it, in regards to holstered weapons, most ppl run classic holstered weapons CHW now a days, will show all but heavy weapons on back for rifles and pistols on hip and it works for humanoid NPC's also.
To CHW, it's a fantasttic mod and I'm running it too, but only for NPCs. I don't find it overly immersive if my big rifle disappears when I draw my pistol or knife which inevitably happens with CHW. There is a reason that the mod allows you to exclude the player. I also have the rule that all long weapons and swords I'm carrying have to be visible, as it is quite difficult to put them in your pants pockets.
I might just be stupid, but how do i get the skins for the rifle? they arent appearing when i try to edit it at the weapons workbench EDIT: Nevermind, figured out the problem, I needed creation club skins for it to work
