is there a mod to change the beer and soft drinks to not give you money when you consume them? its kinda weird that dollar bills manifest in my hands after drinking a beer
If I understand correctly, this mod, in addition to replacing caps with one of three currencies, also replaces metro and book return tokens?
Is it possible to somehow install only replacing caps with currency? The mod looks good, but I don't need bitcoins and replacing book return tokens and subway tokens...
Any canace for a version where we can replace bottle cap fiat currency with Copper or Silver pieces? (Gold, even if in very small pieces would be too valuable for day-to-day commerce like bread buying so no Gold please)
But currency based on rare raw materials is very plausible in the post Apoc
This "bug" happened to me too. It's simple to solve, xEdit > Change the name of bottlecaps in unofficial fallout 4 edition to the same as BAP currency overhaul, that is, USD US Dollar.
This may be the best currency overhaul mod I've seen for Fallout 4. :)
Though one has to ask, would there be a way to do both Cap & Cash currencies, like how we see in New Vegas with NCR dollars / Legion currency? Would be a cool idea for co-existing currency.
I kind of wish I could use all three of these as different currencies (or at least the concept) to be used with different folks ala Tarkov. Because that was definitely something I think FNV really could have focused in on. NCR-aligned merchants only accepting NCR Dollars, Legion aligned only accept the Denar, and unaligned accepting caps. And show how each is valued based entirely on the amount each of them is worth in their respective markets.
But I doubt that's really doable in teh Creation Engine without some serious work put in that would probably just make it more of a hassle than it's really worth.
So I have this old mod called Stash These Caps, which shows the number of caps I have on the Pip-Boy as an interactable object. Does it do the same thing with this mod?
Since you said we can do a Future currency request. How about 1 ounce Copper or quarter ounce silver coins? The intrinsic value of certain refined metals would be a very plausible vehicle of trade over the fiat currencies :)
1/4 Ounce Silver coins (not using full ounce cuz that would be way too valuable to buy things with IMHO) Maybe 10 copper coins could equal one quarter ounce silver coin..
If all currency was based on copper or silver it would be a lot more immersive. Copper coins probably more relaitic since copper is more available yet still rare.
