Hey 4est - thanks for the repack / optimization. Between this and your HDTP collection, the game is looking great.
Wondering - Fixed Alpha Maps; Fixed Gobo Effects; Wetness Shader Fix - yay or nay with this / your other one? Not sure whether these are still required - or at the least, whether the files that they are overwriting from this pack are required.
I still run the Black Codsworth Fix / Fixed cubemaps right after this SavrenX ba2 set.
Then load the Wetness Shader Fix rather high, but still below SavrenX ba2 set so it win conflicts over SavrenX textures. His were processed in batches to improve appearance but I'm unsure if they had any wetness shader work.
Wetness Shader Fix affects a lot of textures so it loads high to allow later custom texture mods to win conflicts.
Top of Load Order: This SavrenX BA2 pack In High Load Order: Wetness Shader fix and then very next, Gloomy Glass. Mid Load Order: HDTP pack, other custom material, meshes and texture mods
Fixed Alpha Effects - appears to still be a good mod. Fixed Gobo Efffects - appears to still be a good mod.
FONG added 108 files to Fallout4.esm faces for a new total of 3,282 files in that folder. That means No Textures replacers are broken by FONG. However 36 faces could have missing facegen in FONG if a person has their 15 Vanilla BA2 Replaced using the old FOOG files. That hurts nothing because they didn't exist in FOOG anyway.
TL/DR - This version of the 15 Vanilla BA2 files has V1 headers, plus the new faces, and works in FONG or FOOG.
in the google spreadsheet this mod was at top. and since permissions werent allowed for gorilla and dogmeat they werent included in this pack. would you still recommend gorrila and dogmeat from savrenx himself? cuz i didnt see it in ur extra medium fallout 4 spreadsheet
Hey man, I hope you're doing great, love your work with the HDTP Mod, just got it all done and installed, and its working flawlessly, anyway, you see, because of an absolute stupid dump ass that I am, and instead of reading through this mod description, (SavrenX HD Textures Performance BA2 Set) I just went straight to SavrenX profile, and started downloading all his texture mods, thinking that this mod also has the same preparing process of your HDTP mod, so as I said, I just put all his texture mods in queue, came back a half of day later, and by the time I realized the mistake that I made, well it was very late, and all the downloads were finished.🤦♂️😂 (Sorry for making it long)
So I'm just trying to save up some internet and time by asking this, it might be a bit of a stupid question, I'm still fairly new to BGS Games Modding in general, so that's that, and also the ignorant fool of a human being that I am, I mean the fact that you literally mentioned this all over the place, "you need all 4 downloads" with a huge font too, and I still got it wrong💀, anyway, what is the downside of installing all of SavrenX mods that I have separately? Is it ok if I do that?
Yes, but... The one's in loose textures are now packed into BA2 so that helps performance a bit. Plus, those of us with large load orders are running too close to the BA2 limit. So only having a few BA2 is much better than 15 - (I'm too lazy to check the actual numbers right now).
This very nice, and works great. Thanks! One question, does the Creature Pack include Mirelurk Hatchlings? It's hard to tell from that mod page and discussion seems dead. Everything seems fine but those have exploded and I don't think anything else should touch that texture.
I don't care for their hatching mechanic anyways so downloaded Mirelurk Eggs Sweep to hopefully cut way back on ever seeing the little buggers. Still, exploding textures are never a good sign.
That's the only obvious texture problem I've seen this game of 72 hours, and the only one ever that wasn't NPC hair stretched to edge of screen (always mod added NPC missing requirement and/or load order/conflict, easily fixed). I also used 4estGimp - HDTP as a replacer when starting this game, doubt that matters.
If I was so bothered, maybe find the base game mirelurk hatchling texture to put in loose files, but opted for nuking them all from orbit. Little buggers are so tedious after the base game, then comes DLC. Just for fun, the Mirelurk Spawn/Nukalurk Spawn are also messed up and a bit more disturbing. Like the Mirelurk Hatchling, they look much better when dead (pic.2) but still still have some texture glitching: https://imgur.com/a/mirelurk-spawn-nukalurk-spawn-texture-glitch-Sp26tQq
No ENB in use here, or any enblocal.ini file on the PC. Tried ENB and a couple of the most popular presets/mods, they messed with too much stuff and required too many patches, kinda like AWKCR which I also got rid of entirely.
Turns out it wasn't any texture of yours or any texture mod at all exactly. FO4edit didn't show any conflicts with the hatchling/spawn formIDs (0016962D, etc), but I did notice while they are obviously in the mirelurk faction, they're also RadRoachRace. I am using a very fun radroach replacer mod, 1 ESP with no BA2 or textures, but it was enough to screw up the hatchlings. With that disabled, they returned to normal. I'll just have to deal with it until the next game, disabling an ESP mid-game is not worth it for this minor issue.
I will go bug the author of the mod in question. Thank you for your time, and your great mods. :)
Review from an old rig user: be aware that this does not really help performance wise if you have an old PC even if in theory it should lighten the load... it has considerable performance hits on interiors and when there are enemies on the area at exteriors. *With it ON i have up to 20fps(variable) drops inside places or when there are npcs at exteriors, *with it OFF i get constant 60/59 under the same situations. I did actually test it by loading the same save files, but take these statements as you wish. I'm running my game with a pretty basic mod setup, nothing fancy at all and no other texture related mods. -My rig: GTX1050ti 4GB - 16RAM - Ryzen 7 5700X - game installed on a conventional hard drive, recent fully clean windows install.- Posting this so if anyone else thinking of downloading all these heavy files and have similar specs to mine doesn't end up wasting time. But besides that the visuals indeed get sharper and defined, i liked mainly clothing and creatures, but some objects are a little too rough with unecessary 'detail', but it is mostly good, and since it does not change the original style it's a plus on my book. I'm leaving a like anyway, thanks for the repack really made it practical :)
With a GPU that old/small, try Phyop Optimized Textures. They are smaller than vanilla and she even has a "Potato" version which is much smaller than vanilla FO4.
Ok first time modding, just to be 100% sure. Instructions say download one landscape mod (done) and load these mid load order. Does that mean I load the landscape mod after the sets? Sorry for the confusion
The 4 Savrenx downloads are replacers of the vanilla FO4 -textures.ba2 files. So they will automatically load first. I have them at the top of my load order even though it really doesn't make a difference. Then I have a landscape mod mid load order. Full details can be seen here.

All FOUR downloads are required.

Your first answer is the real answer.

Oh, By the way, thanks for all the work, man.

Some of them go "liquid" while others go into stretched shaped.

Oh, and you'll want to install a cubemap fix after her packs - Black Codsworth and Windows Fix
V1.10.16 = Old Gen = FOOG
FONG = New Gen
So as phrased, the question is if New Gen works on Old Gen.
(wish all mod authors had such instructions!)
Thanks for this mod.
