Changelogs

Enhanced Vanilla Clothing and Armor (EVAC) is a complete overhaul of the appearance of armor and clothing.

  • All diffuse textures were revised with additional details added
  • All normal maps were redone to improve details
  • Lower resolution than the official High Resolution Texture Pack, but better quality. Most diffuse
    textures are 4k BC1 and BC7, normal maps 2k BC5, and specular maps 2k BC5 (only
    added where needed).
There is now also a 2k file that limits the maximum resolution to 2k for users who wish to save some VRAM.
  • Fixed vanilla texture errors
  • Improved specular and environment mapping effects
  • Face covering helmets, masks, and glasses were remodeled to include transparency so you can see the faces
  • Added some forgotten cut content (currently only the Horn Rimmed Glasses)

The following glasses and helmets have added transparency, fixing the issue of the wearer being blinded by their headpiece due to no way to see through it.

Glasses:
  • Black-Rim Glasses
  • Bottlecap Sunglasses
  • Cappy Glasses
  • Eyeglasses
  • Fashionable Glasses
  • Operators Glasses
  • Operators Goggles
  • Patrolman Sunglasses
  • Road Goggles
  • Welding Goggles
  • Wraparound Goggles

Outfits:
  • Damaged Hazmat Suit (only the head piece)
  • Hasmat Suit (only the head piece)
  • Helmeted Cage Armor (only the head piece)
  • Helmeted Spike Armor (only the head piece)
  • Hooded Cleanroom Suit (only the head piece)

Helmets:
  • Assault Gas Mask
  • DC Guard Heavy Helmet
  • Flight Helmet
  • Gas Mask
  • Gas Mask with Goggles
  • Lobster Trap Helmet
  • Marine Combat Helmet
  • Marine Tactical Helmet
  • Medical Goggles
  • Pack Beanie and Crow Mask
  • Pack Buffalo Helmet
  • Pack Crow Mask
  • Pack Elephant Helmet
  • Pack Jaquar Helmet
  • Pack Moose Helmet
  • Sack Hood with Straps
  • Sentry Bot Helmet

Requirements:
  • RobCo Patcher - Used to distribute cut content to the leveled lists and set the correct biped slots on some items.

Recommended to be used alongside the following great mods

Compatibility

General Notes:
  • This mod was designed to be as compatible as possible, and since it uses RobCo Patcher, you should be able to place it near the top of your load order without issue. Most mods do not require any special compatibility adjustments other than loading it after mine.
  • Obviously, various other clothing and armor texture mods may provide alternative textures, so adjust the load order for the desired textures.
  • Models were based off of vanilla, but since I only touch Gage's armor to fix missing material assignment, and the rest are headgear, I doubt there is any incompatibility with the various body mods.

Compatible, but requires proper load order
:

  • Eyewear and Mask Retexture - EVAC provides its own versions for most of these. Either load before or after as preferred.
  • Fixed and Optimized Transparent Institute Cleanroom Suit - Makes the Institute Cleanroom suit visor transparent. EVAC provides its own version, making the lenses also transparent, but if you prefer this version, simply load it afterward. Alternately, if you only want the biped adjustments, you can load it before.
  • Hazmat Suit Improved - Makes the Hazmat suit visor transparent. EVAC provides its own version, but if you prefer this version, simply load it afterward.

Compatible, but requires a patch:
  • More Feral Ghouls - Also install the "Fix for Luxor HD users" optional file on the mod's page. Ignore the fact that it states it's for Luxor HD users, as it fixes the same issue of the ghouls wearing the decayed army fatigues bodies being partially missing.
  • Proto Vault Suit - If you use any of the Hexa variants, also install the Proto Vault Suit normal for Hexa variants optional file. This is a custom normal map made to match the pattern of the Hexa variants, as they didn't look right if you used my normal otherwise. Credits to nitronizer for the Hexa pattern from which I generated a normal map.
