Whilst this mod still works as it should, a new update is in the works, and will be released sometime soon, this will change things like junk returned from vanilla purified water now being refillable, more junk returns being added to certain items and items I missed (dirty water etc.), and a (future) separate update to add support to Wasteland Imports. In the next update, I will also be changing the previous scrap I made fillable in survival (Paint Can, Water Pitcher etc), so that it cannot be filled unless you are using the recipe at the cooking station. This is to stop you from accidentally using one of the scrap containers on 1 dirty water, when you could keep it and use it for one of the new multi-use crafting recipes. Cork will also be added as scrap gained from consuming specific beverages (Wine, Moonshine etc).
What this mod does:
This mod aims to edit all consumable food and drink items in the game to return "scrap" to the player that matches their container.
Cram, Potato Chips, and any potted food or canned drink will now return an opened tin or aluminium can depending on how the item looks before consumption, so a can of Pork n' Beans (which is rusted and pretty banged up) will return a rusted can, but a pristine can of Instituted Water or can of purified water will return a crushed aluminium can! Take that, can! Same goes for any alcoholic, non-alcoholic, and Nuka-Cola based beverages. Drank through a whole crate of Gwinnet beers? Now you have a whole crate of empty beer bottles! Smashed through a couple of Nuka's with the boys? Well now you've got some empty bottles to smash with the boys too! Intestinal splinters no more! Any "skewered" or "on a stick" item will also return x1 wooden scrap to the player. Nuka-Cola and various alcoholic beverages have also been tweaked to Decrease or Increase player thirst in Survival mode. Kick your alcohol addictions or become extra susceptible to dry mouth! Along with this are new crafting recipes at any cooking station, these will give you the option to combine dirty water and certain Junk containers into Purified Water that can be used more than once until your container is empty. This is a more complete version of my Original Mod, "Stop Eating Scrap!", this version is intended for those that want the extra additions like multiple use water containers and edits to alcohol to increase thirst upon consumption in Survival Mode.
As of this upload, the older version will become depreciated. This version will now be the main version I work on as the "original" version does what I originally wanted it to do, but this version of the mod will gradually add more tweaks and editions to make the scrap you get back from food and drinks, have even more uses. I will also be adding compatibility patches to a number of mods along the way, that means this mod will work alongside mods like "Wasteland Imports" and "Point Lookout."
If you only wish to have the effects of the core mod, please download the original, though as stated it will no longer be updated as it achieved it's intended goal.

These all have weights that seemed fitting, going off the base weight of the junk item + 1 weight for each "charge." All can be crafted at a cooking station with the required amount of dirty water, and the correct container.
