2024 HOTFIX UPDATE: Hello everyone! I'm gonna start of by saying I'm sorry for not updating the mod sooner, basically I had hoped I could release the fixes alongside the new update and dungeon, but I decided to finally roll them into a hotfix.
This update does not include the new Steel Mask 1.2 update. It's just a hotfix which fixes a lot of bugs. The menu spam bug is still not fixed, as me and other playtesters could not recreate it.
The following changes are in the hotfix: * Fixed the health being capped at 50 for Quantum Steel parts (200 for torso) * Fixed not being able to repair the Quantum Steel armor set. * Fixed the defense stats of the Quantum Steel armor set. * Changed the location of the unique Torso piece, so it isn't locked behind the BOS questline anymore. * Added an alternative way to get the unique Legs, if you decided to blow up the Institute. * Added a legendary effect to the unique armor. (Honestly I don't think it works right now, I'll have to figure out why)
EDIT: The health/defense bug may not be fixed if you've already previously used the mod on your save. If you still have the low health bug, give yourself new parts with the console (Better Console required):
been searching in the crater left by the destruction of the institute for a good while now, is it in the crater itself on the floor somewhere or is it inside some sort of nearby ruins or pipe?
FO4Edit found an error EnchPA_Quantum_Steel "Quantum Steel" [ENCH:01008A30] ENCH \ Effects \ Effect \ Conditions \ Condition \ CTDA - CTDA \ Parameter #1 -> Found a ENCH reference, expected: AVIF,NULL Looks like it's suppose to be PA_Quantum_Steel_AV in the actor value? I was getting a CTD everytime I open the workbench where I left the Quantum Armor pieces, changing the record fixed it.
How do I do this fix, exactly? I don't see any place I can put an actor value looking at the enchantment in xEdit. I've made small changes in the program before but nothing like this, forgive me if it's really simple.
Edit: It was indeed really simple. Turns out xEdit was just being stubborn and I was being clumsy. In order to do the fix, open xEdit and double click the T-47R esp, as it's the only one that needs to be opened. Open the drop down menu (click the "plus" to the left) for Object Effect, and then click on EnchPA_Quantum_Steel. Ensure you double click, not right click on the box for Condition #0, Subject.GetValue(Self). Say yes to the pop-up that you want to edit it. Double click the box on the right of Actor Value, and type in PA_Quantum_Steel_AV. It should auto fill the rest. Save the files!
Not sure if its even worth mentioning but anyways, I noticed during some file checking stuff that this contains a decal texture that is not power of 2 resolution (this file specifically PA_T47R_Rank_BOS_Elder.dds)
The rest of the decals are 256x256 but this one is 384x384
I resized and repacked it myself anyway, but just thought i'd mention it as odd resolution textures can be known to be problematic.
Also as mentioned by others "EnchPA_Quantum_Steel "Quantum Steel" [ENCH:27008A30]" References itself in the effects causing CTD.
I just really love the quality of the paint jobs for this every time I come back to check to see if there has been updates. Pinedog, have you ever thought of doing more paintjobs for other power armor mods like you did for a few of newermind43's? I'd kill for versions of these paints for C1ph3rr's X-02, at least to have the vanilla factions filled out...
I'm encountering a strange conflict between this mod and X-Cell
Whenever I attempt to pickup one of the 4 unique armor pieces while X-cell is active, my game CTDs. I've tested this at all 4 pickup locations and its the same for all of them. Disabling X-cell fixes the issues for me. Any idea what could be causing this conflict?
Love the mod. Is there a way I can console command the regular pieces? I really want to try it out, but I can't seem to find any in the world. When o look it up using help"t47r" 0 the ID pieces come up, but they don't work when I try to place them in my inventory. Maybe I'm doing something wrong.
