    Any mod that makes changes to or adds new modifications to the rifle may cause the guns to load one bullet at a time.
    Ex: This will happen if you have Service Rifle - Unofficial Update, because that mod changes how magazines work.

    This can be fixed in Xedit, you need change Ammo Capacity (Orange Arrow) to 20 for both weapons (Blue Arrows)

    Would it be possible for Preston to keep his weapon as a laser musket? With every other laser musket being replaced?

      You can open the mod in xEdit and remove the change to prestons laser musket/inventory. However doing this in a game where you already had the mod active may break his weapon entirely.

    can you please make the same thing but for this weapon?

    it makes more sense to replace the LM with the M1 and replace the combat rifle with service rifle. 
    Edit: your replacer mod work perfectly unlike the others that is why im asking you to do the same replacer for another gun

    so prestons weapon is still the laser musket how to fix?

      Sounds like you have something else that is overriding his laser musket aka a mod conflict. I can't help without more info.

    So this might just have been a load order problem, but when picking up the Service Rifle off the dead minuteman outside the Museum of Freedom. It cycled the same way the Laser Musket does (ie. chambering 1 to 2 rounds before needing to reload.) This not only happened to the Player but also Preston as you can hear him fire a shot, then reload.

      I had this issue while testing several things.

      It is most likely one of two things:
      1. You got to close to Concord before enabling this mod, which might cause the "service rifles" to still behave like laser muskets.
      2. There is a mod conflicting with this. Ex: Some of the expansions might be conflicting because of the magazines.

      I don't remember exactly what it was because I havn't been playing FO4 for a bit.

    For me, I will just replace the fusion cell to the 5.56 ammo, however that will need to change other weapons that load with fusion cell to load 5.56, but I always dislike the ugly pipes and energy weapons, so I will replace 'em with normal ballistic weapons, I don't really care about the lore, I just want to make 'em looks like what I like to see.
    I think you can also replace the laser gun used by the military and brotherhood, with the modern black polymer lookin service rifle or carbine, aka ar15, m16a2, car15 and m4 carbine.

      I will just replace the fusion cell to the 5.56 ammo
      Prestons quest reward use the Fusion Cell ammo directly, change the fusion cell LLs will not change his reward. Changing the fusion cell ammo will not work either. All this will do is give you two versions of 5.56 that can't be used together. The "5.56" you get from preston simply won't work in the service rifle, or any other gun that uses 5.56.
      I think you can also replace the laser gun used by the military and brotherhood, with the modern black polymer lookin service rifle or carbine, aka ar15, m16a2, car15 and m4 carbine.
      I am not making anymore changes to this mod, other than correcting the When Freedom Calls reward. Any changes I make to the BoS will be a complete overhaul with multiple weapons and armor as a seperate mod.
