ADDS REALISTIC "CHEATS" TO WORLD OBJECTS TO MAKE FALLOUT MORE CONVENIENT AND FUN, WITHOUT FEELING LIKE YOU'RE CHEATING! 
 
An immersive cheat is something added to the game that makes it easier to play, but in a way that makes sense. The mod "GO4 (Gameplay Optimizations for Fallout 4) Immersive Cheats” adds hundreds of cheats throughout The Commonwealth.  Vehicles in and around settlements have car parts (which you can scrap for steel) and other items you can loot.  Vault trunks that you can loot and use to store your stuff are near vendors in each city, town, and shop. Additional copies of the “You’re SPECIAL” books are in specific milestone locations throughout The Commonwealth, which you can read to add points to your strength, perception, endurance, charisma, intelligence, agility, or luck.

New feature: Scrapping a vehicle in a settlement now removes the hidden loot container linked to it. (Caution: Make sure to remove any items from the vehicle's container before scrapping it!)

🏁 QUICK START
1. Enable the mod.
2. Load a saved game.
3. Travel to a known location, like Diamond City, and confirm that the items added by this mod are available.

⚙️ HOW IT WORKS
The mod adds activators, containers, and other items to The Commonwealth without replacing existing statics, so it is “pre-combine” safe. Items added by the mod to each settlement can all be scrapped after the player becomes allied with the settlement. It doesn't make every vehicle in and around settlements lootable. Loot can be taken only from cars that can explode, or have exploded. Vehicles that were nuclear-powered before The Great War have a 75% chance to have a power core as loot.

✔️GREAT FOR SURVIVAL MODE, TOO!
Many of the cheats are designed to make Survival Mode more…well…survivable!

• Sleep to Save in Nearly Every Interior: Mattresses, sleeping bags, or cots are added near the entrance to each building, cave, and other interior locations with a load screen. So, you won’t have to worry about dying before you can save your game.
  

• Free Bottled Water: Trashcans with free bottles and sinks with clean water to fill them with are added to Diamond City, Good Neighbor, Bunker Hill, and other locations. Invisible activators are added to some water pipes, utility sinks, eye-wash stations, and water coolers so you can now get clean or dirty water from them.
  

• Sleep for Free at Every Inn: Mattresses and sleeping bags are added inside or outside every inn so you can get a restful sleep without spending 10 caps.
  

• Fast Travel Unlocked: In survival mode you can now fast travel to Diamond City, Good Neighbor, Bunker Hill, and every settlement after discovering them. So, you’ll have no more failed quests to assist settlements that are under attack because you couldn’t get there in time!  You can also save time by fast traveling to each faction headquarters you discover.
  

• Recycling Bottles: Why throw those bottles away? Now you can reuse them! When you drink beer, wine or spirits, you now get a free bottle added to your inventory, which you can fill with water.
  

✔️ BUT WAIT, THERE'S MORE!

• Plentiful Chem Ingredients: Good Neighbor is now an alchemist’s fantasy land, with wild plants growing on every street corner, which are free for the picking, or great to look at if you prefer to leave them.
  

• Bunker Hill as It Should Be: Bunker Hill now has a cooking station, chem station, weapons workbench, armor workbench, and power armor station, because the hub of commerce for The Commonwealth should have these!
  

• Covenant Beds & More: The unique beds at the Covenant settlement can now be scrapped and crafted so your character and followers can sleep in them. Plus, a dresser added to the Mayor's house has 12 sets of the unique Covenant armor and security helmets, so you can dress your provisioners and guards in them.
  

 

• You're SPECIAL Locations: The books to add strength, perception, endurance, charisma, intelligence, agility, or luck points are found in the Dugout Inn in Diamond City, Hotel Rexford in Good Neighbor, Old Man Stockton's counter in Bunker Hill, Atom Cats garage, the Railroad headquarters, the Institute, and the Brotherhood of Steel's Prydwen.
  

• Free Adhesive & More: Mutfruit plants and corn stalks are added to Diamond City and other locations that grow only tatoes, so you can easily create your adhesive for free. The city's pond also has plenty of bloodleaves for making Dirty Wastelander to boost your charisma, and strength, and carry weight.
  

✔️ PLUS COMMON GLITCH WORKAROUNDS

• Ballistic Weave Glitch: There's a Railroad faction glitch that prevents a dialog option to unlock the Ballistic Weave to add armor to various clothing in the game. This mod provides a workaround for the glitch: An invisible activator is placed at Tinker Tom's viewer, which, when activated, gives your character the ability to add the Ballistic Weave mod to specific items of clothing at an Armor Workbench. This is a workaround, not a fix. Even though you will be able to add Ballistic Weave to some clothing, Tinker Tom still won't sell clothing with the mod.
  

 

• Covenant Password Glitch: If you're caught stealing in Covenant, NPCs will remove all stolen items from your character, including the password needed to complete a quest. Once taken from you, the password cannot be recovered, which breaks the quest. This mod places a duplicate of the password on a dresser in the mayor's house, which you can use to keep the quest going.
  

 

• Covenant Turret Glitch: If you choose the option to kill the settlers of the Covenant, the turrets of the walled settlement cannot be scrapped. The mod now lets you scrap the turrets, so you can build your own turrets on the turret stands.
  

✋ DISABLING THE MOD
Before disabling the mod, make sure to remove any items you've stored in the containers added by the mod (e.g., the Vault trunks at various merchants). Disabling the mod will remove all of the items added by the mod. Items you've looted from vehicles and containers will remain in the game.
