The game crashes when I place the mouse cursor on the weapon while in the workbench. I disabled the horizon patch, and everything worked well. I can't say it is the mod author or my mistake, therefore no bug report has been created. I recently switched from Vortex to Mod Organizer 2. I figured out MO2 rather quickly and have no other problems with other patches for Horizon 1.9.3.
Never heard anyone speak about that with this patch; so it sounds like a load order issue or an issue with installation. If you know how to paste your load order here, do so in order for me to take a look. Otherwise, this is a replacer esp so you should be loading the patch after the horizon/extras esps but before any of the Z_Architect things that usually go in the bottom. Also if you were using the weapon previously without a patch and then installed the patch now, you might have pieces that I deleted which could be causing the crash. Not sure what else could be causing it, I would also recommend trying to spawn it through the console and then test if those ones that spawned through the console also cause crashes.
I had the load order sorted as shown by the creator of Horizon 1.9.3. I messed up the list of mods on the left side of MO2. Everything is working for now.
I still have the problem with the workshop where I move the mouse over the weapon and then the game crashes.
I learned by comparing it with other weapon patches of the past; the horizon mod also has a discord server with many channels with information that helps to teach how to do stuff like this. The discord is the best place and you should be able to find the link within the description of the original horizon mod page or somewhere within the mod page.
Funny to say it like this but sorry for the constant updates, just trying to make sure I can fix bugs and problems as a hear/find them instead of just waiting for a long time and having more people go through those bugs.
You aren't using the weapon 'perfectly'. Assuming you are using it on a non-Horizon version of Fallout 4 it might work in some ways but certain horizon-related assets will be missing and it also might feel underpowered compared to other weapons in non-horizon fo4. It might fix some of the bugs and clean up the weapon mod menu a bit but it isn't meant be used without horizon.
Just mentioning a bug warning for 1.11, accidentally modified multiple container values instead of just one... don't want to explain too much for spoiler purposes but expect a patch for 1.12 fixing the problem with multiple safes having the unique. Apologies
