UPDATE INCOMING

Remember all those suggestions I said I'd add to the mod? Here they are, finally. Due to next gen update as well as overhauled menu configuration in base mod, it is strongly suggested that you save this update for a new playthrough. Seriously, the new menu configuration makes original mods incompatible with all subsequent updates.

WHAT'S NEW?

  • Added 3 new quonset hut models. Complete set includes 2 huts on concrete foundations, the original as well as a model with flat interior walls to facilitate easier furniture placement. Also included are 2 huts on wooden stilt foundations. One with original arched interior walls and one with flat interior walls.
  • A full compliment of latrine pieces/parts with working fixtures and animations. Latrine parts only snap to back third of FLAT WALLED huts. Toilet stalls, toilets and sink half wall snap to either side. 4 stall shower unit only snaps to center of room.
  • Working bunk beds, in two parts. Place bottom bunk, snap top in place.
  • Player and settler wall lockers which spawn random contents. Some items can be taken and used by player. Wall lockers only snap to FLAT WALLED huts.
  • Set of 4 retextured foot lockers, bearing various military stencils.
  • Animated wood stove.
  • Stockade window bars, door and "jail" beds. Beds are assignable work objects with 24 hour shifts. Assign settler (Marcy) you want out of your hair, and they will stay in their bunks until you're ready to set them free.
  • Eliminated furniture placement diagram that appears during build mode. It was a clunky feature in the original, so I got rid of it. Furniture placement is very basic. Beds on either side of windows, wall lockers on either side of beds, footlockers at the end of the bed.
  • Base set of interior wall panels that work with steel set and log set wall segments. Interior panels can be used to facilitate snapping of individual toilet stalls, shower stalls, and sink half walls. Use of interior panels is demonstrated in video accompanying Log Set update.
  • A brief rundown of most additions can be seen here:

DROP YER...uh...WOKS, AND GRAB YER SOCKS!

Whether you're starting a Minuteman military base playthrough or just need someplace in your camp to stack your settlers in a hurry, this barracks set is just what you're looking for.

THIS MOD CONTAINS

  • One prefab quonset hut which can be configured any number of ways. Post headquarter, armory, barracks, supply depot, stockade, or any combination you can come up with.
  • Snapable beds and footlockers to give your quarters that crisp military look.
  • Snapable room divider.
  • Doors, light fixtures, and snapable window bars to keep folks in or out.
  • Various wall signs for building/room designation.

HOW ABOUT A DEMONSTRATION

Okay...

ADDITIONAL INFO

  • A bed and locker snapping diagram appears during build mode once the exterior wooden door is placed. There are two identical wooden doors, one for placing in main entryway, the other for snapping to interior room divider. The exterior door will spawn the diagram, the other will not. If you don't see the diagram during build mode, or if it appears only beyond the interior room divider, you placed the wrong door in the wrong spot.
  • Barracks utilize the electrical switch box found under the Yufarley Collection> Power>Switches tab to power both interior and exterior, snapable light fixtures. Identical light fixtures not requiring snapping, which use radiant power only, can be found under the Yufarley Collection >Power>Lights tab.
  • Doors DO NOT have locking feature shown in video. That's from some other mod I have installed.
  • The stockade beds are a last minute addition I came up with to keep "prisoners" sequestered to their bunks and create the illusion of being locked in the brig. Essentially they are work stations with a 24 hour shift. I've tested them for all of about 5 minutes, so they very well may have some issues. I noticed while editing the video that Marcy didn't go to the assigned bed, which is set up for sleeping. So perhaps the sleeping beds don't work as work stations. The sitting ones do, however.
