Found the time for a major update...version 0.2, 17.5.2023:
- added a terminal option to all subway protectron terminals, to turn off the radio voice loop...since this was a globaly used scene on all subway radios, it will work on all subway stations that will make use of the radio announcer loop in subways...it also has a global value added, which will be checked against when ever the radio voice is to be played again(on cell change, or location change etc.), or in other words, it will stay off until you turn it back on, on one of the "networked" protectron terminals
- this enabled me to also fix the self re-initiating southern checkpoint voice, by checking against a custom global value as well...ergo it should stay off now for whenever you decide to return and have it turned off...the terminal message will also check against the global, and correctly display your last state of interaction
Instructions on eslifying this plugin. 1. Open plugin in xEdit 2. right click and select "renumber formID' 3. enter 000001 in the box 4. save, close, and reopen xedit (this extra step just ensures you save the file you can also Ctrl+S and skip to step 5) 5. click file header, the right click Record header, then edit add esl flag 6. Right click mod and check for errors 7. Close and save CAUTION: DO NOT use on existing save as formIDs for the 'Global' will change and may cause issues with same games.
Made Jamaica Plain a settlement. Every couple seconds, "Emergency frequency signal found!" "Emergency frequency signal found!" "Emergency frequency signal found!". I hope that message will stop spamming after this.
I installed after I had already cleared the outpost and took the armor. So the option to turn off does not appear in the terminal. I used NMM to install twice. So did I miss something or it won't appear until a new play thru?
Edit: Had to manually install. ESP would not show up with NMM install. works now. thanks
Not to change, but tracing where the voice was hidden. It took me a while to figure it's inside the DN125 topic inside the DNWhatever quest, since I would normally use the CK info button to trace stuff. Appearantly it wasn't revealed like that.
Stupid me should have used "DN125" as search context earlier, would have saved me a hour of detective work. Then I figured users probably want to have an option to turn it back on(for whatever reason), and have companions shut their mouth about it.
On the 1st visit after the mod was installed, the voice over the terminal was turned off.
A few days later, on the second visit, because „Guns and Bullets Magazine“ forgot to pick it up, the voice was back on, so reset without my intervention. That's OK!
Thanks! [ENDORSED]
P.S.: There are 2 radiant quests for South Boston Military Checkpoint from the Brotherhood: "Clean up the Gunners for Knight Rhys" or "Confiscate the Artifact for Scribe Haylen".
Yeah, haven't payed attention to the quest running once only. Probably should have. I turned the pipboy radio on out of curiosity to see what happens, and the message was blaring all over the place again. So I guess the radio also does something with the scene or quest.
It also may very well be that a locational reset turns the message back on. Maybe I'm going to address that in a future update.
So I can stop firing nukes, throwing grenades/Molotovs and depleting my entire ammo supply in an attempt to silence that thing ? Sounds like a plan. Seriously I have checked 4-5 times over the years looking for a mod to fix this. Thank you for this much needed mod.
I wasn't even aware it's named "Bravo". On my map it's named South Boston Military Checkpoint.
I can't exactly tell by the screenshots provided how he did it, but I guess he entirely removed the whole terminals text, and just added a condition or script fragment.
I added additional text, with a script fragment to toggle the scene on/off, and then use this as conditional info on the linked quests.

It works on literally every protectron terminal, not just the subway ones.
Or do I need to do some kind of 'step' for it?

Good to see you around again.
(Was it that tricky to change?)

So in short: 1:15 tracing, 0:15 building.

Yours seems to do more than theirs, however. Most notably the disabling of companion comments.
