I'm super blind, where is the trigger for Croup manor?

Super blindness must be a common affliction because I cannot find the pile of building supplies - trigger for Croup Manor either.

Although this is a bit more immersive friendly. I still decided to go with "Rebuild AIO" that recently came out. It covers, or soon will, just about every settlement with several patches including previs and precombines. Making this mod absolete. Although these rough patches, rathet than the 'perfect' fixes are, as I said,  a bit more immersive.
So still gets my endorcement ;)

I think what defines a 'patched roof' may mean different things to different people. Probably a good thing in FO4 all the civil courts are permanently closed. ;p  Oh well.

@Praetoriax - Hmm, I'd hardly call this mod obsolete, nor merely "a bit" more immersive. Don't get me wrong, I think Aurelianis makes well polished mods (and I use a couple), but many are far more rebuilt - eg, Dalton's main house remade too big for a farm, and some are unrealistically pristine (eg, Spectacle, Coastal Cottage, Park Visitor Center, etc). But for any who want them start here & dlc here.

I agree with streetyson here. Rebuild is excellent, but using perfectly restored structures instead of lore-friendly patchwork repairs does sacrifice immersion for convenience to a significant degree. Aurelianis left her series in the very capable hands of tenhats, and if he weren’t so swamped with other projects, I’d be keen to see if his approach would better capture this immersion.

Personally, I’m using the fantastic Hunkered Down - Commonwealth Overhaul mod and its settlements module, which makes minor adjustments to already inhabited settlements to make them look believably lived-in. Because of conflicts, I won’t be using this mod alongside it however.

Hey seraphael, Hunkered Down looks cool, thanks for link. I'll prob try it next playthru, or a manual edit to use it alongside this mod.

I can't get a prompt to use the patching materials.

      - Install them

      Worked for me. Good Luck

      @blinkblink - v1.02 is fine.
@DaimyOshi - are you mistakenly looking for the prompt in workshop mode? You need to be in normal mode, just walk within 3ft/1m from the roll of felt and aim your cursor on it - at least at Taffington it's against the side of the shed in the passage by the house.

Note to all folks: v1.02 doesn't appear to break precombines - I found one ITM which I cleaned but it's prob safe to leave. Endorsed.
P.S. For anyone interested - at Somerville the roof felt rolls & planks look the same but are to be found against the back of the house.

Is the fixing for Croup Manor included in this mod?

I know this question's been superceded by the update, but yes its changelog says Croup now added, and Coastal Cottage's garage.
Update 8/12/23 - and I see description updated now too - 5 settlements in total (other 3 being Kingsport, Taffington & Somerville).

Joygasm! Just one request, can you make it an .ESL? Or is it esl flagged? ;)

The plugin can't be flagged in it's current state. It needs compacted first. FO4Edit will do the job nicely, though, then the dev just needs to tag the plugin ESL (via the File Header, don't rename it to .ESL)

cheers but already traided it in for "Rebuild AIO". I think Vortex could flag the mod ESL though. Never got around to testing it much :(.

I really appreciate the thought that went into integrating this in the game instead of directly making those edits to the roofs. Good job!

Unfortunately the changes to the Taffington Boathouse location break previsibines. The other two look okay in xedit.

I removed the changes in version 1.0.1, the four roof parts have that nasty gap again. :P

I didn't see any conflicts with PRP in 1.0 which indicates it doesn't touch precombines.

If a mod breaks previsibines, it won't necessarily show a conflict with PRP or another mod. That's only if it rebuilds previs data. But, if you look in xedit, and see any of the [PlacedObject] files that are changed, that will break previsibines, and the mod would need to include new previs data (cdx files) to fix it. You could also load that version, go to the settlement in question, and toggle TPC to see if pre-culling could be enabled (once to disable it, then another time to enable it, and if you have broken previs then it won't let you enable it).

And thank you, WarMock. Looks good in xedit now. I'll definitely be putting this in my modlist next playthrough.

Yes, I know and I did that. Still haven't updated from the first version and the precombines are fine both before and after patching the roof. Probably because I use PRP.

Love this idea. Will try it out immediately.

Edit: will it work even though you already own said workshops?

Ever been annoyed that Kingsport Lighthouse, Somerville Place and Taffington Boathouse had usable houses inside the buildable area with massive holes in their roof?
Well, not for KL nor TB: I used to repair them with vanilla tools and vanilla building mechanics only, and in an enough satisfying way.
But Somerville always has been a pain-in-the-backcheeks to me.
So I'm all for your solution. I thought a FoMOD installer would do the trick... but, nah, you found a truly mmersive way of doing it which is the "plus" of this special mod.
Many thanks for what you are doing, sir!
