-= For rent =-

I got asked if I could have a look at Diamond City Penthouse as the mod hasn't been updated for a few years now. Well ... I heeded the call. ^^

After digging through the listed issues and frequently asked questions I went to the drawing board and created a new version of it from scratch, as the old version had some quirks which would have required more time with editing them out rather than starting from a blank slate.

-= What has been fixed? =-

Diamond City Penthouse Revived puts the player home/settlement at the same location it used to be in the abandoned mod, but there are some significant changes:
- The entrance is now located within Diamond City itself. Just walk up the stairs to the left when you enter the city and open the door to the shack leading to the elevator which takes you into the penthouse itself. For leaving the penthouse, just call the elevator to get back down to the shack platform leading to the normal entrance.
- You can actually build on the floor now! The issue is that the 3d mesh which makes up the whole upper area of the stadium lacks the "WorkshopStackableItem" keyword, which is required to make it count as a floor.
- Unfortunately I cannot raise the ceiling as it is an integral part of the mesh itself and therefore cannot be edited without creating both a new mesh and collision geometry.
- The issue with disappearing walls etc is a preVis issue. The original mod did not include the updated precombined meshes and previsual data, leaving the original portals in place which block rendering the 3D world in order to save processing power. That's why this version includes an additional main file.
- The penthouse comes pre-equipped with a bunch of furniture and some additional amendities to allow you to move in right away. Most of the items can be scrapped in workshop mode, however I had to make a few items unscrappable due to how they function code-wise to prevent nasty side-effects.
- You get two internal generators, each one providing 25 power
- You can drink from the kitchen sink to restore HP
- The kitchen stove is actually a makeshift cooking station.
- All other standard crafting stations are also included. You can find them in the same room as the workbench.
