An edited version of the amazing original mod here. I used an overlay from REACTOR ENB - REALISTIC NIGHT VISION OVERLAY and simply placed it on top of Flir.PNG. This replaces an element of the thermal imaging overlay, but I don't know what the hell I'm doing so it's the best I could do.
Installation:
Place file under Fallout 4/ reshade-shaders/textures (Make a backup of the original image first.)
Replace the existing file named "flir.png"
In game go to the reshade settings via your "home" key and toggle on the TVLayer.fx. You might have to turn off performance mode in the bottom right corner of the settings screen first. Disable NVVignette and adjust/Disable NVProd 80_06_Chromatic aberration. You also might have to resize the layer by adjusting the layer scale slider.
This is sort of a tangent, but for anyone who has made small personal edits to mods, don't hesitate to upload them to the nexus. I'm sure someone somewhere will appreciate it.
