For those that can't get the FOMOD installer to detect BLD, after digging through the FOMOD install XML you have to install BLD with the BLD - Better Perks Enhanced option.
After re-installing BLD with said plugin, it correctly detected and installed the BLD patch.
Could you also include You Are Exceptional - Skills and Perk Overhaul? It is not compatible with Start Me Up Redux - the Skills don't load up as they should when starting a new game, based on the description. Other things seems to work fine.
Edit: This part is not working: "When you open the PipBoy for the first time after the mod loads, you'll be asked to "Tag" three Skills."
Doing some basic testing, skill point rebalance straight up doesn't work, most of the changes are not taking affect. educated is +4, it's an 8 base intel but it's just +1 for every intel point as normal. Annoying because I agree with those changes, these skill mods seem to advance way too fast.
The optionals definitely work. You have to start a new character each time you are testing changes. I tested by adding a point into INT with the SPECIAL training perk and leveling up a bunch. Every 2 levels into INT gave me 1 extra skill point per level. I didn't test educated, but I assume it works.
NOTE: You Are SPECIAL by default adds 5 skill points per level (minimum setting in its MCM menu) on top of whatever this mod/Be Exceptional is adding. So the optional file's change to 8 SP per level is actually going to give you 13 per level by default. If you want to only gain 8 SP per level before INT additions, you need to change 1BSBaseSkillPointsPerLevel to 3 in xEdit.
Men I don't know if the changes you made in the BLD to the weapons damage perks were intentional but reverting the damage bonus of such perks to 20/40/80/100 as in vanilla breaks the balance in BLD since the weapons would do insane damage so you should consider carrying over all the changes BLD did that have nothing to do with the ones you did, I'm not asking you to do so because I can do it myself to my likings in xEdit but at least warn people in the description about it and thanks for the patch
Sorry I was confused I checked again in the Be Exceptional description and those perks no longer have any effect so there is no need to carrying them from BLD so don't mind the above bullshit I've wrote

Fuck. Thought I had my load order nailed down, now I found this and have to try it. I'm running SMU, Hot Diggity and Curse Combat overhaul and it seems to work well but this might just be better if it does what it says.
Tried getting this working. I have Imports, TFTC, BLD, Start Me Up Redux, and Be Exceptional. I have everything installed as directed, but when I try to spawn at Tenpines Bluff, with Trigger Discipline, Gifted, and the Drifter Background I get a frozen loading screen.
If the vault logo is scrolling, try alt-tabbing for a minute then tab back in and mashing E and Enter i have a similar problem with making new characters, but i dont use start me up

I ask because even though VAFS Redux is listed for the optional patch, the installer doesn't recognize VAFS Redux, the VAFS box is not checked.
Edit: Never mind, just saw you can't pick VAFS+VATS in the VAFS Redux options, that was my problem.
