A super lightweight and vanilla-friendly overhaul of the Minuteman level lists. Utilizing only vanilla content, this is designed to be vanilla-friendly and minimalistic. If you're into big overhauls with plenty of new assets, this may not be the kind of mod for you.

In vanilla Fallout 4, Minutemen have no cohesive look despite having a Minuteman uniform outfit in the game files. Why would your militia choose to wear civilian clothes? Wouldn't that put civilians in danger? Make it hard to identify allies? I mean, the Brotherhood and Institute have consistent looks, even the Gunners, so why not the Minutemen? Moreover, why are the Minutemen using the same rusty pipe guns raiders use? This mod revises that by unifying the Minutemen's outfits as well as adjusting Minuteman weapon lists. Minutemen will wear a consistent uniform that separates them from other factions, and standard residents. All Minutemen will use the Minuteman uniform as their only outfit choice. Armored units have been cut down to using varying degrees of leather as I felt it more attainable for a newly formed militia. Hat tweaks have also been made, making the newsboy cap the most common hat, with berets and the militia hat being rarer - the goal behind is to add pseudo-hierarchy to the faction. Gone are the days of a militia powered by pipe guns. Pipe guns have been entirely removed from Minuteman level lists, and in their place, some heavier hitters have entered. These include the .44 Magnum, 10mm Auto Pistol, Auto Combat Shotgun, Gauss Rifle, Missile Launcher, and an increased chance to see Laser Muskets. Along with these newly added weapons, Combat Rifles and Hunting rifles remain in the weapon pool. More powerful weapons will be more rare, with the opposite being true on the weaker side of the weapon pool.

This is specifically designed to be a direct replacement, and therefore
directly edits level lists, outfit records, and sometimes NPC data. It will
conflict with anything that also directly edits affected records, though
will be compatible with mods that use level list injection. Keep this
in mind when organizing and sorting your load order.

Drag and drop the contents of the mod into your game's "Data" folder,
and activate with the mod manager of your choice. Alternatively, install
directly through Mod Organizer 2.
