I like to report that when you scrap anything that is built by the Sanctuary layout, or by you, some of the wires in Sanctuary stop working and leads to (in my case) the door in the General's house being closed, and the school's neon lights getting shut off. Also, interacting anything that uses power does the same thing.
Update: The Castle also has an issue where there are no connected wires when importing. This is evident when going to the building with the Settlement Recruitment Beacon on top, as there will be conduits missing wires. Street lights will also not produce any lighting because one of them are not connected to any powered conduit. Also, please do not tell people to use the scrap everything and import option when importing a settlement from this. Radio freedom gets scrapped permanently when used in the castle. As well as buildings in Hangman's Alley and Outpost Zimonja where some objects will float because somehow, these buildings can not be manually scrapped in workshop mode but can be when scrapping everything using Workshop Framework.
thank you for this. makes importing much easier and faster. is there a chance to convert this collection to workshop framework or atleast explaning how to do it cause space2jump collection doesnt include all settlements. again thank you for all the work you guys did
xWandaku i tried a few things i found in other posts but im too stupid and inexperienced to figure it out. only thing i havent tried is exporting them myself using workshop framework for future playthroughs. but will have to finish game first to try that.
yeah i made my own a long time ago. just use this site to make all-in-one. you can add the ones you want and package them together into one esl. and they work good, well atleast i didnt have any issues
Hello i need help, i was building Tenpines bluff then it gets stuck at 3% and then reload the save before the transfer and re do it, the builds are complete but the "Building Layout 0%" is still there i thought that if i leave the game it will go away, but it doesnt. What should i do to remove the ui?
Thank you so much for doing this! I got so bogged down with settlements during my first playthrough and it left me very frustrated and not enjoying myself, so I quit playing for a long time. I came back to it about a year later and deleted my million settlement-related mods and started a new game with the intention of ignoring them completely. But it's really nice to have a compromise with a lightweight, no-brainer system that doesn't need all the bells and whistles of Transfer Settlements!
Unfortunately, Workshop Framework doesn't seem to have the same options for blueprints that strictly use vanilla assets and I'd love to cover the other locations in my game. For the Settlement Layout Plugin Creator you listed below, what information do you put in to convert the TS blueprints? Name, designer, and description can be anything, I assume, and then you upload the TS json file, right? Do you need to do anything beyond that with the scrap profiles and so on? And is it better to convert to esl or esp for the purposes of settlements?
FYI to all of you: Sanctuary building had to run for 35 min on my PC, about 18 min of that at the 99% stage. Seems that the Sanctuary build is rather CPU/GPU intensive, the load doubled for me.
Edit: Tenpines Bluff took 146 seconds and was a lot easirer on my computer, ~+20% CPU load.
Did you have any problems with it showing "building layout" at 0% for a long time? I agree that Sanctuary is a particularly big one...mine has been showing 0% for like 30 minutes now but clearly stuff has been/is being built because all these new structures have been added. Just not sure how long to leave it in case it did get stuck. Red Rocket was done in a minute and a half lol. Hopefully it is still working and will say it's completed at some point! I'm just concerned about the 0% and wondering if the notification system is maybe glitching, but I'll let it run for a while longer to see what happens.
How do I access the workbench in order to access the framework menu? I am only able to access the framework once, by hitting the R key, but once I interact with the workbench again, the framework menu does not come up again. Do I just configure the hotkey?
What did you use to convert these into the Workshop Framework format? I'm trying to covert some of Fiddleflaps settlement builds, but I'm struggling to find a json to esl converter that works.
Just FYI, I asked Fiddleflaps for his permission to do this and he politely declined the request to convert any of his settlements. Was trying to convert them so that console players could use as well but he was not having it. Dont know what your intentions were with the conversion but just wanted to mention this.
For future reference, the tool that I have used in the past to convert other TS blueprints is here: https://www.simsettlements.com/tools/layoutcreator.php
Thank you for this link. I was able to convert all Fiddleflip's settlement blueprints - for my personal use only - into a single ESP with this tool. A few issues here and there with power lines/powered elements, but nothing that WSFW couldn't handle by itself.
I'm finally rebuilding all my settlements while waiting for Transfer Settlements to be updated. :-)
Hey everyone, so when I went to import the sanctuary layout using workshop framework, at first I thought it’d be really stuck at 99%, but then today I just discovered why - it’s because at that point the whole layout would begin the powering up stage, which with this layout, would take quite some time. With that being said, I do think Workshop framework itself should be updated to have a power-up progression meter, because I don’t see one. I can only tell that the layout is powering up by see wires spawn in
