Listen up Ada2Human chads! My patch for Ada2Human doesn't work with Ada2HumanRedux-0.10.2-WIP version. You will need to use an older version of the Ada2Human mod for it to work.
I went through SSD failure earlier this year and lost my dev files for this mod so making an update for the new version of Ada2Human will take a bit of work.
The base mod for normal robot Ada works fine. It's just the patch people are having problems with.
A handful of people have pointed to this mod for a number of strange problems they are having with fallout 4. This mod ONLY modifies sound and lip files for ADA... that's it. You can look at the zipped files for yourself and see that this is the case. I recommend you install buffout 4 and review your crash logs. Buffout 4 is a great mod for troubleshooting and it includes a bunch of legacy fixes as well.
I am considering redoing the Ada2Human 2B voice patch mod as a stand alone using elevenlabs. If somebody does it before I can get around to it that would be awesome.
in order to get this 2b voice to work with the newest Ada 2 human Redux v0.10.2 WIP you need to get a mod called BSArchPro. This will unpack the games ba2 files. So you need to go to where fallout 4 is installed to and make a backup copy of the file called DLCRobot - Voices_en.ba2 file aka the original file that comes with the game. Copy it to your desktop if you want or a folder of your choice this is incase you mess it up. For steam users the location would be C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Fallout 4\Data\ . You now load BSArchPro exe and just drag the DLCRobot - Voices_en.ba2 file into the window and it will load the ba2 file. Anyways you will see all the files loaded up now in the BSArchPro program. Now press Ctrl + A this will select all the files then right click and select unpack selected. make a folder called DLCRobot and extract the files to this folder. At the top of the BSArchPro program you will see a button named Clear List press this. Now do the same thing for this 2B voice mod from Barker3D. open up the ADA2B - voices_en.ba2 file with BSArchPro program press Ctrl +A to select all the files then right click and select unpack selected. Choose the folder that you created earlier called DLCRobot. This should have now replaced the original robot voice with the 2B voice files from this mod. Now you need to pack it up. So first on BSArchPro click on the button clear list. Next drag the DLCRobot folder into the window and the files are loaded up. Press Ctrl + A to select everything, right click and select pack selected. the next window prompt select Fallout 4. Near the bottom you will see Archive File Name with three dots on the bottom right. Click on the 3 dots this will open up the Save As window. Type this name in exactly how I type it DLCRobot - Voices_en.ba2 Now hit the save button the window will close. On the packing option windows just hit the OK button this will start the packing process should take 1 - 3 mins. after its done go back to your DLCRobot folder you created earlier and copy the newly created DLCRobot - Voices_en.ba2 to your fallout 4 game folder. for steam users this would be C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Fallout 4\Data\ hit YES to overwrite the other file. Then load up your game. This method will work for v1.2 or v1.3 of Barker's Ada voice mod and works with Ada 2 human Redux v0.10.2 WIP . I can not upload the modded ba2 file since its a bethesda game file and not a mod file so dont ask.
Nice mod! I am wondering if you can assist me. I am creating a voice mod for Ada voice (just for my personal use, not public) and am having a lot of difficulty getting it to work. I have created other voice mods for Cait that work fine, but this one just isn't working,
(I'm working with loose files since its not a big mod).
but I am still hearing the original files. I know my LO is fine because my Cait voice mods are loading just fine. I've looked at the DIR of where your mod goes (same DIR I posted above), and confirmed it via other research so I know the files are in the right DIR, but can't understand why I am still hearing the original voice lines.
Any help would be really appreciated! Thanks!
EDIT - After hours of tinkering the only way I could make it work was to rewrite the original DLCRobot - Voices_en.ba2 file. I suspect the Ada2Human mod has a script that interferes with how overrides work or something. Placing loose files with a custom mod in MO2 just doesn't work. Even placing loose files directly in the Data folder didn't work!
hullo im playing with vanilla ADA. She constantly is beeping and humming. Its sooo loud. Anyone know what the name of these sound files so i can replace them with a no sound empty file. Its soooo annoyingly loud.
Even without the ada2human Ada is still completely silent, I read the recommendation on downgrading and yet nothing changed, none of my other mods effect voices either so I dont see it being conflicts, I was wondering if there was something I might've missed, or that should be done?
I had similar issues like some coments below but when i look at the Plugin Vortex menu i saw the Brawl Bug Fix was disable. I enable it and she is now a human whit humans voice. Mabe its a isolated case but it helped me when i wasent able to put her voice human.
Followed your instructions perfectly from the post below and watched your youtube video, yet Ada remains silent. Any clue on how to resolve this dispute? Attempted to have Vortex install this mod first, the redux 10.1 afterwards & your redux patch for 10.1 last yet all I'm getting is silence. Figured Vortex might be having issues so I deleted all the archive from Vortex & manually installed them in the perscribed order and none of the mods I'm using outside of yours & ada2human itself make ANY changes to Ada according to xedit. Any help would be greatly appreciated as I'm dying to have a non mechanical voice for Ada to match her new appearance p,.,q
More than likely a conflict somewhere, oddly enough of the 300ish mods I'm running yours & ada2human are the only ones that touch ada so I'm a bit perplexed here xD
That's the New Game Start crash if you're also using Ada2Human, I've confirmed that beginning the new game then activating the plugin allows you to progress.
I literally have no clue how or why, but when I looked at the folders for my installed mods most of them were missing almost everything required to make said mods work. Vortex continues to confuse me p,.,q
Reinstalled my companion mods and the next time I attempted to play ADA suddenly had 2B's voice @,.,@ Ended up using Redux 10.1 along with version 2 of your voice mod alongside the 2Human patch and everything's workings swimmingly.
Word of Warning to Vortex users: Pay KEEN attention to those popups stating "Would you like to save changes and delete these files or revert them?" otherwise it will cause you an unimaginable nightmare attempting to figure out what went wrong & where it happened.
Had the same problem as others with the voice not working. Did a test and disabled version 3 and downloaded version 2 and everything works fine her voice is back at working fine. There seems to be a problem with version 3. Just a heads up to those having issues.
I play in italian, so all the dialogues are in italians except for the added ones (like Heather, Harley etcetera). But as said those are added dialogues, and they don't give me any issues.
So before installing this I'd like to know, is there someone playing in any language that isn't english? Just to know if it can give issues with the replacing dialogues or not.
I believe the voice files are determined on the initial download from steam. You can just replace these files with different language files and they work the same. I have a mix of japanese and english voice lines because I am learning the language and it's fun to mix it up. So my mod would overwrite your dialogue with english dialogue for this character and that's it.

Happy modding.
