Just wanted to say that this is a must have for all my playthroughs, pre and post next gen update. It's a really really great mod, and I love decorating my settlements or homes, brightening them up with those little touches, all these wonderful and varied different flowers. I love all the funny little bits that appear randomly in the pots hidden amongst the flowers, like toys or automaton models.
does not work with "Place Everywhere". when scaling, the size of the pot changes, but the bouquet remains unchanged. when moving along the coordinates and then loading, the pot appears in a new place, but the bouquet remains in the old one. hanging pots stop "sticking" to the fasteners pushed behind the textures.
ps the models don't match the game ones - the trash can and paint can are the size of a barrel. and there's something wrong with the bowls against the background of the mini saucepans and colander...
Correction - the third party scaling and movement functions in place everywhere do not work with this mod - nor do they work with other mods that have complex multi-part settlement objects. These planters are not single objects, they're closer to being like a sim settlements 2 building plot and carry the same drawbacks. Place everywhere is and always has been an "at your own risk" mod, and is fully capable of rendering settlements unusable if misused in just the right way. As is true of any advanced tool, the risks of misuse are outweighed by the rewards for skilled users.
maybe then, as an option, add empty pots with soil and a magic seed that creates a random bouquet? then there will be no issues with scaling and it will be possible to plant standard crops.
well, at least correct the sizes of mini saucepans, mega cans of paint and a trash buckets?
ps but the toilet bowl with flowers, that's brilliant, brilliant... :)
Awesome looking mod that I definitely intend to be using for my next FO4 run.
I like your choice of flower textures. Not everything has to look downtrodden 200 years after nuclear apocalypse. Nature has a cunning ability to adapt and regrow. Of course I think more choices are always better, so why not have both if possible ?
I cannot tell you how much I love this mod. It has become one of my favourite mods ever. I add flowers everywhere! My settler live in a happy jungle! Amazing work with this!
(I love the prewar flowers btw, but I never build post-war settlements so if you plan on adding post-war flowers I do hope those come in a separate menu :D I don't wanna give up on my happy rainbowland of flowers!)
You don't have to worry about losing the existing textures. If I ever make a post-war variant for the flowers, it'll be as a downloadable texture replacer.
This is a beautiful mod, thank you! Both the Idea and implementation are awesome
I have one question though. Have you possibly thought about making flowers more "post-nuclear"? I love how you used familiar immersive objects as pots, but the plants don't quite fit ordinary settlement unless it's some special pre war place.
For example, pot could be filled with vanilla crop flowers (hubflowers are my favorite) or something like this:
Anyway i'm just asking, happy to use ur mods as they are!
I've considered updating the textures before, and it's one of the things I plan to look into the next time I update this mod. Also, fun fact: I was originally planning to add improvised vases to this mod, and may do so at some point in the future. I dropped the idea initially because I realized that I already had more vase-compatible models than the rest of the mod combined.
Heya, Glitchfinder! I was wondering if you would perhaps consider adding single craftable plants (without the need to build planters, etc. for them to appear)? I know I‘m probably asking for much, but I would so much love to place these beautiful flowers as my heart's contents…
I have considered it in the past, yes. There's several things I want to add to this mod at some point, but finding the time to do it is another matter entirely.
