Due to the latest NG update, the mod may not work.
I'm expecting more hotfixes to come so I won't be able to update it for a while.
Thanks.
Since CustomControlMap.txt doesn't seem to be well-documented anywhere, I did some experiments and figured out a way to completely unbind melee key from your game on startup.
You don't have to deal with it anymore. Hope you enjoy it.
EDIT: If you can't open console after installing this try rebinding any key to a different key from settings and revert it back. It might fix the issue.
EDIT2: Added ForceUnbind in the ini. Default is on and it will try to unbind your melee key if it's on. Disable it if you're still having issues with keys.
I'm playing a downgraded version of Fallout 4, and this mod makes my game crash a few seconds after loading (even when only having this mod and the address libary enabled).
Same problem on my side, I no longer can use them and they vanished from my menu, I'm verifying files with steam to see if it fixes the issue.
Edit didn't work and I had to downgrade the game since it has been updated to the so called Next gen update. I erased my "Fallout 4" folder in my "My Games" and it fixed the issue! The mod adds a F4SE script in your "My Games" folder and remains even if you remove the mod. Just be careful not to erase your saves in the process, put them out of the folder before erasing it and put them back where they were after you relaunched the game and the folder got recreated 'If it even means something".
You're right, I'm afraid. The New Grift won't let it (or Knockout Framework, come to that) work. In KO-F's case I believe it doesn't recognize the f4SE at all. I fear this may be true of your mod as well.
I really like the idea of this mod and a lot of youre other fallout 4 mods are great aswell but atleast this one doesnt work for me and I guess its bc f4se has been updated for the latest next gen update and this mod hasn’t.
I rly dont wanna pressure you but i would love seeing your mods getting updated too since I dont think there are gonna be anymore next gen updates or hotfixes this would make sense to do aswell.

"You have to delete ControlMap_Custom.txt in C:\Users\<your username>\Documents\my games\Fallout4 folder. It will reset your keybinds to default."
Since it's fixed now, I'm using configurable hotkeys and never using this particular mod ever again.
Speaking of which, despite having uninstalled and rebuilt, my install-folder CustomControlMap.txt had LAlt as the melee button.
I like this mod specifically because it launches the grenade after releasing the key. To each their own as they say.
To the mod author, thank you very much for sharing this mod with us.
