This mod uses all the underlying code supplied by Flyable Personal Vertibird (which is why it is a requirement) so if you have any other issues/questions, Please see the Stickied Posts on that mod for help.
If anyone wants to fix the model (especially the collision) I would welcome it.
(You can also try sending the 'invisible' Warbird away then recalling it, or just save your game and restart)

Type help fpvwarbird 0
The displayed FPVWarbirdRace formid (xxxxx801) will tell you where this mod is in your load order.
type placeatme xxxxx807 (where xxxxx is from above formid)
Exit console mode (~) and step back as the Warbird will be on top of you.
Make sure you have created a Personal Vertibird Recall Beacon at the Chemistry Bench.
Use that Recall Beacon to get the Warbird highlighted in red, and via the displayed menu select Reset Vertibird
I have not yet resolved why this happens, but once you have one Warbird they can be built normally. This also happens with a "Classic Vertibird" version of this mod.
Would anyone be interested in chipping in for a talented artist/designer to add animation to this warbird model? That would be a gamechanger for any modern/tactical playthrough. I quite like the "hovery" effect of the original vertibird
Spectacle Island is a bad place to build as it has strange issues with workshop. Did you follow the instructions in the first post above? At what point in those instructions were you having a problem? If you have console access you could follow the second set of instructions (I know it is a cheat).
Just can't get it to work. The only spot I have found large enough to build the thing is Starlite Drive-in, and even once I do get it to appear - a combination of fast traveling and reloads - the game consistently crashes when I get too close to the vehicle.
Got FPV and the v9 hot fix. All the prereqs are there and stable. This gal just won't work.
is there a way to shoot/equip a weapon in the passenger seats or to be able to control front gun from co-pilots seat? for example if you put on [RING] passenger right or left, you'll be in the seat but you cannot aim a weapon or shoot or anything just look around and tell the bird which direction to fly in. same as the co-pilot seat.

The game restricts what passengers can do - only the turret gunner position is allowed a weapon (and very limited choice). Also when the player is onboard the aircraft it won't shoot. The aircraft is an NPC so using and aiming their weapon would be like doing that with a companion. I have not been able to get it to work properly for an aircraft - it works fine for a road vehicle (like driveable cars).
Hi been building a new 'base' game for a playthrough with 0 veritbirds in game yet :) still have 11 running in the old playthroughs..
Am i correct in my assumption that this 'Warbird' version of FPV does not have a Pilot spawned WITH the vertibird?
Also how many passengers can i SEE sitting around in here before they start to double up and share the same seats?
Also? when we 'land' and exit the Warbird .. will it power down and silently sit waiting for another trip, or will it always be powered on with those large fans blowing/roaring?
The Warbird model is from another author which gave me permission to make minor adjustments to, however my ability is limited so the result is I broke the 'moving' bits. This means it has no door on one side and the rotors don't spin. It never had landing gear. Also as it is run by the in-game vertibird system it has the same number of active seats (even though it looks like it has more). Not sure where it's sound effects come from, but they eventually stop when it is landed too.
Is there any possibility of having a higher res version? It's a great model but it is a bit jarring compared to the rest of the game textures on higher settings.
I don't have the ability to do that - I just ported the existing model to FPV with permission from Cerruti. I would suggest requesting this on their main mod page (Warbird) or on their Goodfella Discord. If they provide a higher res patch then I should be able to use it.
