~~~Blue's Minutemen Flag Pack~~~
BASICS
So, this probably doesn't need much in the way of introduction. I wanted some flag diversity, wasn't completely feeling some of the flag packs I'd downloaded, so I decided to make my own! Each of these flags incorporates some version of the Minutemen's logo in what I hope to be visually distinct and creative yet not overly-complex designs, each using vanilla weathering patterns to ensure they fit in visually.
Each is based around a specific settlement, but can be used anywhere you want. Currently there are no unique textures for banners and half-circles, so those may not look the best; I may create such textures later down the line. THE FLAGS
Boston Airport
Obviously takes inspiration from the Brotherhood of Steel. I used the non-canon Texas Chapter logo as the basis and the orange color of Brotherhood armor markings for a background.
Sanctuary
The only design that isn't completely original, inspired by a poster from Gruffydd's Signs and Posters on AFK Mods. This is NOT an import from that mod; I created the texture entirely on my own based on the general idea of the triangular field.
The Castle
The least interesting design on offer, just intended as a darker, non-weathered version of the default Minutemen flag.
Bunker Hill
One of the first designs I drew up; the angled central stripe obviously representing the monument, with Red White & Blue coloration due to the strong influence of pre-war American history.
Coastal Cottage
A very simple two-color design, drawn from the ruined blue cottage and its red garage/shed.
County Crossing
A cross-and-circle design representing its place as a crossroads for traders from Bunker Hill.
Covenant
A simple tri-color design based on the coloration of the settlement's welcome sign.
Croup Manor
Inspired by the Manor's proximity to Nahant and the pre-war feral ghouls that previously inhabited it. The town of Nahant doesn't have a municipal flag, but they're locally famous for their strict attitude towards the U.S. Flag Code and for a festival held on Flag Day, thus a design near-identical to the pre-war American flag.
Egret Tours Marina
A simple tri-color design with a symbol of an egret taking flight.
Greentop Nursery
A multi-cross design with prominent green, loosely inspired by the settlement's greenhouse.
Greygarden
An almost boring design (hey, it was made by robots), featuring a dark grey gear with a faded green interior - technology cultivating life and all that goodness.
Hangman's Alley
A golden field with a green diamond, symbolizing their status as Diamond City's newly-founded sister-settlement.
Jamaica Plain
A modified version of the municipal flag of Boston. Perhaps the locals found inspiration from the time capsule?
Kingsport Lighthouse
Perhaps the most complex design on offer, meant to resemble the lighthouse shining out into a night sky.
Murkwater Construction
A simple diamond design with faded green corners, inspired by the swampy surroundings.
Nordhagen Beach
While technically a very simple design, the unique shape inspired by naval signal flags brings some novelty.
Oberland Station
A yellow cross on a black field, bringing to mind a railroad crossing street sign.
Red Rocket
A gold field with a central circle based on the Red Rocket logo. Updated design by skunkjohnson with revisions by me; much thanks!
The Slog
A simple two-color design, with Tarberry purple flying proud.
Spectacle Island
A wavy yellow stripe behind an outline of the island gives a chill vibe to this island getaway.
Starlight Drive-In
A central yellow stripe inspired by the drive-in screen, flanked above and below by stars.
Sunshine Tidings
A shining sunset design with colors sampled from the old Hippie Commune's signage.
Taffington Boathouse
A simple white-and-blue design for a humble riverside settlement.
Outpost Zimonja
A swell design for the Minutemen Signal Corps, if you want to roleplay such a unit. Otherwise, just a fun radio tower inspired flag.
