First of all a huge thanks to:
Zorkaz for Chickens lay Eggs
and
Freddrick for Sim Settlements 2 - Tiny Living
without them this wouldn't be possible at all so please don't forget to endorse those mods as well if you like this.

Combining the fantastic mod from Zorkaz with the absolutely lovely Chicken coop (Agricultural) Plot from Freddricks Tiny Living for Sim Settlements 2 it's now possible to experience a whole new food chain. And to be honest one of the most realistic ones too.
(Almost) Self-replicating and fresh every day from mother nature. I present: The Eggs from tamed* Chickens and not from a Deathclaw! This makes things much easier believe me. ;)

This gives you a whole new way of creating food, becoming a chicken farmer and eventually the master of omelettes. ;) What basically could be one of the first things you may want to do if you survive a nuclear fallout. Interestingly this wasn't possible until now.

Every time you come and visit your chicken coop every chicken has a 10% chance to lay an egg. And if that happens there immediately is another 10% chance that this egg will become a new chicken.** This doesn't sound much and it obviously is far away from a healthy non rad chicken nowadays but it's kinda enough if you have a few of these plots. One of Freddricks Plot gives you already four chickens on Level One and up to nine(I think) on Level 3.

Changes I made to those two mods while combining them:

* The Chickens are already tamed by Freddrick in a way that they don't run away from his Plot however the chickens were able to open the fence door which kinda freaked me out so I changed that. Chickens can't open doors anymore!***
Unfortunately this doesn't completely do the trick to keep the chickens inside the fence because
a) someone will go inside because there is a idle/working marker inside to feed them which could also be changed but
b) The chickens will often bump into the fence so they eventually will get warped through the fence by the gameengine whatsoever because all paths are blocked however they stay in close perimeter of the fence.
The problem here now that I noticed during testing is: if you have a radiated waterline basically on the corner of the fence the chickens are starting to drink the water and die from radiation very quickly. (They only have 30HP) To prevent the chickens from dying of drinking radiated water they are now immune to radiation. Imagine that: A Rad Chicken dying from the radiation of a few sips of water. Oh Todd what have you done.
I also made the Chickens overall a little smaller and gave them a small random size difference against each other also just for the immersion. they now also better fit through the doors of there house.
** This values are from Zorkaz mod. I can _not_ change this values! If you want this values changed kindly ask Zorkaz.
*** This is a GLOBAL change! So from now on not a single chicken in the whole world can open a door anymore. Let me know if this causes any issues.

Final Note: Don't even think about asking if the rabbits could also lay colored eggs.
