Is there any way for the backpack to properly update the weight limit number for Dogmeat? The original mod was like this too, it stays at 150 but it DOES work as it can blow right past the number.
As far as I know that's a limitation of the game, it doesn't constantly recheck companions carry weight to update the shown value in the UI. It does update the value when it changes (which is why you see the change works) but it seems the vanilla UI wasn't meant to show their carry weight so mods that show it (like FallUI for example) will allow you to configure a value from the start and show that as the 'maximum', instead of checking if that maximum has changed, I believe it just checks their current carried weight instead.
So I assume it's either a limitation on how Bethesda coded it, or how the UI is showing it. I suppose with a script one could perhaps keep it updated somehow, but that's something that should probably be done at the UI level (FallUI or other UI mods that allow that value to be seen).
Sorry for the late reply, I appreciate the suggestions but I mostly consider the mod done, I don't plan on updating it with new features (unless the next gen update breaks it, which I doubt).
Hi there. I made a Spanish translation of this mod. How can I send it to you so you can share it? I don't want to create a separate page for it. It was done conscientiously. No online translators. So the objects descriptions can fit better with spanish colloquialisms.
Nexus just redesigned the profile page for users and added sending Private Messages back, depending on how much your file weights you may be able to attach it through there, if not just upload it to a file hosting website and send me the link, I'll then upload the translation to the Nexus.
Ooh this is just what I need! I always need Dogmeat to carry a few extra items for me since I'm a hoarder and this adds some extra spark to the mod.
Would you be able to do an edit so that the bags sit in slot 54 or something, other than the one they do right now, so that we could use K-9 armour with it?
I don't use K-9 armor but I tested it with vanilla dog armor (dog armor, light dog armor and heavy dog armor) and all the backpacks seem to work just fine, there is some minor clipping (I added a screenshot) but overall it's decent enough, and the handle of the vanilla dog armor even fits nicely with the small backpack.
If you can let me know if it's working correclty with K-9 so that I can update the info in the description to let people know with this change both mods should now be fully compatible.
Thanks so much! I tried it out and it works perfectly! I added an image under user images of my Dogmeat using this mod with K-9 (and the hats and glasses mod) :D
Those are nice tweaks. Since I use Real Dogmeat Armor, I assigned slot 54 to the backpacks (in both categories: Armor Addon and Armor) in order to have a backpack on top of armor.
Thank you for your edits with Backpacks of the Commonwealth in mind!
sorry bro, but I don't understand how to install the patch. sorry bro, but I don't understand how to install the patch. I have the Dogmeat's Backpack mod already installed but I can't add the improvements of your mod
I don't use Vortex so I'm not exactly sure what problem you are getting when installing it, someone I recently asked who uses Vortex told me he was able to install it without issues.
First try installing both the original mod, and mine, and give my mod more priority.
If that still isn't working, then after installing the original mod download my mod manually, open it and manually copy the .esp file to replace the original one by the same name.
Manual downloading is always best, I also use Vortex and I manually download everything.
You just do the manual download, the file will go to your computers 'Downloads' folder. Open Votex and press 'Install from File' button, which is the first one on the bar at the top, then click the mod file in your downloads folder. You can delete the downloads file after Vortex has uploaded it to itself but I prefer to keep them as a record.
I don't use Amor & Keywords, do I still need to grab that too since that is a requirement for dogmeat backpack? Or can I just grab dogmeat backpack and this mod? I really don't want to use Armor & Keywords.

Commercial Products (Nuka Cola [Quantum, Cherry, Dark, Grape, etc...], VIM, Abraxo, ...)
Factions (MM, BoS, Institute, DC, Raiders [Forged, Operators, Disciples, Pack], Gunners, ...)
Or some little extras, like keyfobs and such :D Glow-maps would also be nice :D
Correct, you won't need AWKCR.

Is it compatible with Equipment and Crafting Overhaul?

Thanks for the screenshot I'll update the description then. :)

2nd. Install my mod and let it replace the .esp file.
That's all you really need. If that isn't working for you then something else must be messing with it in your load order.

EDIT// Grammar
I was just confused since the original mod said it required it, so I just needed to make sure. Thanks for answering!
