This is invaluable, thank you so much! I made a patch to add the other appearance options from Diverse Cats to the workshop and now the Commonwealth will become the Catwealth. I love it.

Hi there! Love the mod by the way. Just one thing that keeps bugging me. Why do the settlers keep trying to kill the animals i place down. Glowing ones are the worst and cattle are second. Other then that, Mod is awesome and is amazing!

Does this work with Mutant Menagerie - Life Finds A Way?  Delicon said that the changes he made in the mod are so extensive that LFAW isn't compatible with earlier versions.  I was just wondering if that meant that the patch for your mod and MM would also need to be updated.

It seems it won't work because MM is remade from scratch and no separate DLC plugins anymore. And i don't have time right now. sadly, real life kickin' in. Thanks hor heads-up, going to do when will have time to.

I was afraid that might be the case.  Thanks for the response.

I'd love to try this, but I'm on Xbox.  Is there any way you'd be able to port it over?

YESSSS! thank you dude! I've been wanting those damn radhorners from mutant menagerie in my settlements since the mod came out and this is the first one (that i've seen) to add them! mutant menagerie is easily one of my top favs of all time and any excuse to look at the funny little irradiated animals more is great to me.

I absolutely love this mod and have used it on my last couple of characters.

I was, however, wondering if there was a way to change the AI behavior either on an individual animal level or everything.  Might sound silly, but I want a pet opossum that wanders like a cat or dog would.

    Thank you for your work!!

By changing AI package and AI Data in individual NPC's record, yes. Can do. Do you want it to go aggressive/defensive or not? And - how far you want it to stay from point where it was placed (answer "full sandbox withthin settlement like vanilla dogs" is legit).

Like a dog would be perfect!  I would like it to be avoidant of conflict- I just like the wandering aspect of it, haha.  You are absolutely wonderful, thank you!

Guards are a bit outta scope of the mod and i'm not sure i'll be able to introduce them bug-free. However, good news. Various guards from dogs to deathclaws are possible with official DLC Wasteland Workshop, and they'll do their jobs just fine. Can even be reassigned like normal settlers. https://fallout.fandom.com/wiki/Cage_(Wasteland_Workshop)

I'd really like placeable ones. I've been using this old mod, and I want to replace it with yours but I don't want to let go of the guard dogs. They're super helpful! :) I don't really know how to use the wasteland workshop yet. I place dogs at settlements before leaving so they're protected....it would be a lot more time and work to catch them in cages and put up fences or what ever else so not the quick placement I was after but sounds cool and will look into.

The guard dog in this mod adds 5 defence and 2 happiness or something like it. The Northland Diggers mod also adds guard dogs but I'm trying to replace both of those with this one :).

Just want to add a comment thanking you for this fantastic mod, especially with the MM patches too! This has completely changed my settlement building for the better.

It feels extremely immersive for me too. Whilst sure, resources should be scarce in a wasteland, there's no way there isn't at least one livestock farm around, and this makes my settlements feel a lot more like actual self-sustaining communities, rather than 20 people and their one carrot patch.

If you're taking any suggestions, I wouldn't mind seeing some more domesticated versions of hostile creatures added. Maybe they could be more expensive to build, reflecting how difficult they might be to tame. Domesticated Mirelurks and Radscorpions might be a good compromise between "MAYBE these could one day be domesticated" and completely unrealistic.

Anyway, thanks so much for this fantastic mod, great work!

I strongly second the addition of Mirelurks!!!
And radroaches and ants. It is gross but people eat them in the real world.

Thanks so much for this mod! it is a must have for my settlement building :)

Buffalo and settlers fight because of vanilla AI references.I wrote the details in the Bug reports.

There is a Zorkaz mod which adds ducks and pheasants. Is it possible that these can be added as well? https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/53836

    Thank you for this mod.
