Cool build. However there are some objects hanging in air. Not sure if something is missing/ did not import or I scrapped before importing. For example near the gate at near the projector's "wing" two turrets are just hanging in the air and there are some light bulbs and power line connectors hanging in the air in few places. Not bad- something I can easily fix.
The blueprint has not successfully imported correctly if you have floating or misaligned objects. Everything in the settlement that normally can be scrapped should be removed before running the import, and would suggest standing still at a single spot where you can maintain a high FPS (ideally near the settlements workbench) during the import process to ensure everything imports as intended.
I cannot tell you how much I love your Builds. As Signal Z said, I love that they don't have 1000+ requirements. And just feel so lore friendly. I just love the Simple, Scrappy, post-apocalyptic style. It Looks like they are just simple people, just trying to Hang on.
Hey I love the build, I was just curious if any of the areas were intended as the player character's home? Just curious on where an intended 'Mayor' might stay in the town.
Great to hear you are enjoying the build, many thanks! None of the houses were really intended to be a Player Home, but of course you can always take one you like and then customise it for your own needs .
Same goes for a home for the settlements Mayor, if I were to pick one I would either suggest the house next to the projection tower or the one above the general trader.
Settlements without 1000+ requirement mods, practical yet attractive and especially fit the fallout theme and looks realistic (no floating structure, no flat walls with heavily abused usage of concrete category). Decorations are made using vanilla game pick-able items rather than static decoration mods that further put more pressure on game performance. All these are my green light materials.
Amazing build! How were you able to get those signs, I've been trying to do that forever. How did you move them? I can move them with the keypad, but not the mouse.
The signs were spawned in using the placethere command followed by the objects Form ID which I found by searching through the Creation Kit. I use the Place Everywhere mod which has an ‘Extra Object Selection’ mode and allows you to select and move the spawned objects normally within build mode.
Ty so much, I guess I was on the right track with the creation kit, but I was too stupid to read about the extra object selection. I appreciate the help.
I'm having trouble with this mod and I can't find what the problem is, during import my game crashes. I use all off your other mods and I have no problems with them.
Would suggest reading through and following the Stable Import guide (lots of good tips in there!). I have had the odd crash while exporting or importing some of my larger builds, and found its recommendation of standing near the settlements workbench and looking at either the ground or sky helped when I did have problems.
If you are still having issues I always think its worth testing the import on a clean save, or creating a test profile with only TSB enabled to confirm its not a mod conflict or save game issue.
You need to scrap everything that can normally be scrapped, but do not use any scrapping mods.
Its normal for the game to appear to hang for a while when saving for the first time after importing a settlement. To get around this walk far away from the settlement (don’t fast travel as this will trigger a save) before saving.
For more details, please see the ‘Saving the Import’ section of the Stable Import guide.
I have a problem, when importing it gives an error at 38%, look at the print below: https://prnt.sc/Jysmhr_l3B2w I've been using your Sanctuary blueprint and it worked there
Sorry to hear you are having issues getting the blueprint to import.
Please see the “Items getting stuck?” section of the Stable Import guide. Stuck item errors are normally the result of a mod messing with the item trying to be imported or a save game issue.
The guide provides details on how to edit the blueprint and replace the stuck item with one that does work and allow the import to continue. If you prefer to not edit the blueprint disabling any mods that alter or add settlement objects may also work.
ok, thank you, I couldn't stand the wait and decided to edit the json file, I think that's the name, I deleted the line that was causing the problem and then it worked, but I believe something was missing, because I saw some wires floating around hahahaha. I like your blueprints , thanks!
Just recently discovered your mods, so far I've previewed 7 on an old save, and loved all of them! You've really captured how a trading settlement would evolve on this biggest flat, empty piece of land in the commonwealth. Thank you!
Thanks, great to hear you are enjoying the blueprints! I do plan on building at Far Harbor at some point, just not sure when. Part of me would like to get all the base game settlements done before moving on to the DLC’s, but I might head over to the island before then if I feel the need a change of scenery.
