These are amazing, thank you. I have loved a_blind_man's mod so much for so long, this is an awesome refresh. I am definitely going to add these to my backpack and plate carrier accessories, as I've done with the original models, they will look awesome hung from a pack or a vest and equipping/unequipping when used.
I am getting a weird texture issue, maybe you'll know off-hand what might be happening and will be able to help me fix whatever may be going on:

The binoculars have a chrome shade to them in game. I looked at the model in nifskope, it's there in nifskope too, and when I alt-S shading off it goes away and they look fine. I noticed the old texture paths for the pre-war binoculars are still entered in the texture files (which usually doesn't matter, with the material file referenced), so I took them out. Now in the game, your binoculars have the chrome sheen when I look at them in inventory (in the pipboy), but they look fine when equipped or when I drop them. I'm not an expert with textures, but I don't see anything in the model or the bgsm that would be causing this. It feels like it must be something simple though... Any ideas???
And I think you're referring to how the mesh is reacting to bright light sources, if so it's an easy fix. I tried to make the mesh look more "metallic" so they kinda shine under sun glare if that makes sense... maybe it's a bit too much.
To fix this, you can go in the NIF file, find the BSLightingShaderProperty assigned to the TriShape and keep scrolling down to the very bottom until you see "Environmental Map Scale," reduce the value to zero and the issue should be gone.
?I feel like this might be something different. After deleting the old texture paths from the nifs, they look fine in use, but they still look like this in inventory. I changed the environmental map multiplier like you suggested, no change. I can't figure it out, but it sure seems like it must be something simple, because when I alt-S in nifskope it goes away. Any ideas??
I will just think of it as my emp-proof carrying case I keep them in while in inventory :) May just delete and reinstall everything, see if its a fluke. Dont see how it could be another mod, I really have no idea. But Ill get to the bottom of it somehow, and maybe Ill learn something new! :) Thanks again, and I appreciate your responsiveness and trying to help, too.
You're welcome. I hope u can find out the source of the problem soon, like u said it could be something simple, but tbh I have never seen that before, I've only got a similar look but not as strong as yours in screenshot when I was on an extreme weather from NACX
Would you consider making a non-replacer version, possibly as a cosmetic/functional mod for the regular binoculars? I like the old school look of the original binoculars, but I'd love to have these as well for the high tech mod versions, with night vision and the marking module.

Also nice preset/race, look a lot like Ellie, if not entirely based on her.
