What a waste of goddamn time just to realize this is yet another mod that is more popular than it should be. So tired of being recommended "great" new mods by this community only to find out they are buggy as f*#@ and can literally cause you to waste several hours of time until you realize how broken it actually is.
NOTHING FIXES BLEEDING. This should be the most basic function of this mod and it doesn't even work. Garbo mod.
No kidding. No healing except through stimpaks that give 1hp every ten seconds. Great hyper realistic gameplay where I just tab out of my game for two days to recover from a flesh wound. Not a well thought out mod, unfortunately.
Tip: Read the damn instructions and load order. If problems with bleeding persist after that try the addperk command in the troubleshooting section. With the load order problems, if your using vortex, create a new category on plugins and add the MAIM plugins there, then put the new category at the bottom of your load order. Resume: JUST READ THE INSTRUCTIONS THE AUTHOR POSTED
Read the install instructions chaps. If that fails, read the troubleshooting guide. If that fails, read the comments and/or bug reports to see if others are having the same issue as you and have found solutions. If that fails, leave a comment asking about your problem and then click the "track" button at the top of the page so you'll be notified if and when someone leaves a reply.
Now, back to MAIM. Even with MAIM installed correctly, be prepared for a much much more challenging game. There are no instant healing options. Stimpacks with only heal you very slowly. The fastest way to heal is with blood field transfusion kits but even they are not instant. And they only work while your weapon is holstered and you're limited to walking pace.
The inconvenience of MAIMs mechanics is the entire point though. You'll want to avoid getting shot at all costs which will force you to be much more careful. If that doesn't appeal then this mod is not for you.
lmao being elitist and telling people to read instructions without citing specifics is so obviously toxic and unhelpful. Especially as it's gotten to the point now where every single mod tells you that it should come at the very end of your load order. The inability for mod authors to avoid destructive changes and unnecessary overwrites has inflated almost as much as your egos.
And these complains have nothing to do with the instructions anyway. Players just find it uninteresting to afk for ten to twenty minutes after every encounter lol. It doesn't make you edgy. "avoid getting shot at all costs" is low risk low reward gameplay for softies.
Haha Jesus Christ. I've done everything I can to make the mod as easy to troubleshoot as possible. I literally have spent days writing instructions and guides to help people. I can guarantee that whatever issue OP is having will be covered by something in the troubleshooting guides. "Inability to make non destructive changes" blame Todd Also half these problems are fixed in MAIM 3 and you can also customise the healing rate. Ok? So shut up now please
thanks eclix for the mod and the many options for customizing the mod, protection and more.I can't wait to discover Maim3 on nexus (I'm waiting for the nexus release so that the patches I use can be updated).
Mod works great for me think of it like Sekiro you have a health bar but your main thing you need to protect is not getting crippled as you will get fucking fucked like if you break your posture you will get fucked
Does anyone know if there is a way to make healing items more common, I've only found some gauze in a box one maybe 2 times in the past 11 hours of gameplay.
I tried using Damage Threshold Framework with the author's optional plug-in with this mod and it actually works really well. Stops all damage while I'm in power armor.
But the moment any of my power armor pieces broke I started taking damage again. Seems to happen way more when its an arm or chest piece that has broken -- which makes sense to me. Enemies targeting my center mass and whatnot.
Hello, could it be having a conflict with BETTER POWER ARMOR MOD ? I think it may because I can't see the mod being active when both are enabled, thanks in advance
Hi. Like the idea of the mod but just want to reduce the difficulty slightly with healing, is there a way to edit the HP restore % of items? if its a config file to edit, could someone point me in the right direction?

Happy modding ;-)

As you were.
Just wanted to check -- am I loading True Damage perk modules after MAIM, or is MAIM last no matter what?
