I would suggest you add some lead component to each bowling ball. As most bowling balls have a lead weight inside to help give them a degree of spin they wouldn't have if they were just plastic. It's also the easiest way to manufacture different weight balls.
Hey there and thanks for your mod! I never wanted to just make misc items weightless but the vanilla values were a bit annoying but your edits bring the right balance and fun.
I am using VIS-G and I just adjusted things for myself. Maybe its because of that but for some reason if I pick up any of the lamps variations I got a desktop crash. Buffout was pointing those exact items as well. I just put the values back to vanilla and the issue stop. Any idea? Or it may be some problem with item sorting mods?
That’s a weird one, could be the sorting mod. Some of the lamps have long names, I’ll test that out for you. I use the complex sorter with ECO and I tested for clipping with the FallUI against items with the largest lists of components and it was all working fine. I’ll check it out.
I tried to get other random items and the issue didn't happen. I will let you know if something else comes around (it only happen if you have the item with you or pick it up). It was cool that Buffout actually specified not just the plugin but the actual record.

Cheers :). I was actually referring to the type of component output items that cause scrap to crash - I guess its anything other than a component form but I haven't actually tried, other than that bug in the lamps that gave a Misc record instead of Component.
By the way just a question maybe you can explain to me: What are the "CDIX - Component Display Indices (aligned)"? What do that section do? You removed some like "Small Used Alum. Oil Can" but I never understood what this value do.
There's sense to some of your changes but there's some not-so-sensical ones too, thus not more "realistic" nor "consistent". For example:
1) Shipments shouldn't have weight as they're an order. You're paying for items + delivery, that's why they're called shipments and not items. 2) Changes you made to fags is just a shedload sillier than Bethesda's. Sure, fags shouldn't make much cloth, but shouldn't make lead either. 3) Why would a 40lb bar-bell go from 10 lead to 180 lead and 90 steel? - yet at the same time you reduced it's weight from 40lb to 27lb?! 4) Why would any traditional handcuffs have any lead in them? They're steel. 5) Why would a shadeless lamp have circuitry? Fallout "circuitry" isn't just a wired socket, it means circuit boards & its tech components. 5) Why should paint have lead? - US banned it 100yrs before WW3 in Fallout. There was a scandal with some paint imports, but 15yrs ago. 6) Oil cans - Bethesda just mixed up names - you could've simply corrected it by switching names of "oil can" and "aluminium oil can" around.
I think you didn't read much of my desc. page but all good, happy to answer questions.
1) - I find the idea of having this stuff safely "shipped" to you ridiculous. All otherwise it's a weightless stack of components for all intents and purposes. 2) - That was meant to be silly and a stab at cigarettes - and it is more than possible for lead to be in cigarettes. 3) - Those weight sets were probably the most arbitrary change. If you read my desc page and note, you'd note I changed my weights to KG, which I get doesn't make sense but I wanted them all to be perceivably lighter. Maybe I'll change it all back to Lbs. For those weight sets I just set a 1:1 component weight output ratio. 4) Handcuffs, our coppers use Titanium ones as well. Just wanted to make them seem heavier implying brutality. You can change that if you want. 5) - Well it is presumed to have a switch and a socket, thus circuitry. Give a bit more value for the player. 5 #2) - It's Fallout! There's asbestos in the coffee jugs ffs. Lmao. 6) - Yeah suppose so.
I would recommend you make whatever changes for yourself as required, however if there is a consensus than I may look at pulling such recommendations. I should have added "but not always" and "sometimes a little silly" right after the part where I described the mod to be more "realistic" and "consistent". And I shall update that right now for clarity.

Welcome to the Bathysphere. Any balance of stuff need only be personal, SMB, because the Bathysphere's you do not even want to get me started on.
I never wanted to just make misc items weightless but the vanilla values were a bit annoying but your edits bring the right balance and fun.
I am using VIS-G and I just adjusted things for myself. Maybe its because of that but for some reason if I pick up any of the lamps variations I got a desktop crash. Buffout was pointing those exact items as well. I just put the values back to vanilla and the issue stop. Any idea? Or it may be some problem with item sorting mods?

EDIT: By the way, I would suggest that empty bottles are named "Empty Beer Bottle" for example.

1) Shipments shouldn't have weight as they're an order. You're paying for items + delivery, that's why they're called shipments and not items.
2) Changes you made to fags is just a shedload sillier than Bethesda's. Sure, fags shouldn't make much cloth, but shouldn't make lead either.
3) Why would a 40lb bar-bell go from 10 lead to 180 lead and 90 steel? - yet at the same time you reduced it's weight from 40lb to 27lb?!
4) Why would any traditional handcuffs have any lead in them? They're steel.
5) Why would a shadeless lamp have circuitry? Fallout "circuitry" isn't just a wired socket, it means circuit boards & its tech components.
5) Why should paint have lead? - US banned it 100yrs before WW3 in Fallout. There was a scandal with some paint imports, but 15yrs ago.
6) Oil cans - Bethesda just mixed up names - you could've simply corrected it by switching names of "oil can" and "aluminium oil can" around.
1) - I find the idea of having this stuff safely "shipped" to you ridiculous. All otherwise it's a weightless stack of components for all intents and purposes.
2) - That was meant to be silly and a stab at cigarettes - and it is more than possible for lead to be in cigarettes.
3) - Those weight sets were probably the most arbitrary change. If you read my desc page and note, you'd note I changed my weights to KG, which I get doesn't make sense but I wanted them all to be perceivably lighter. Maybe I'll change it all back to Lbs. For those weight sets I just set a 1:1 component weight output ratio.
4) Handcuffs, our coppers use Titanium ones as well. Just wanted to make them seem heavier implying brutality. You can change that if you want.
5) - Well it is presumed to have a switch and a socket, thus circuitry. Give a bit more value for the player.
5 #2) - It's Fallout! There's asbestos in the coffee jugs ffs. Lmao.
6) - Yeah suppose so.
I would recommend you make whatever changes for yourself as required, however if there is a consensus than I may look at pulling such recommendations. I should have added "but not always" and "sometimes a little silly" right after the part where I described the mod to be more "realistic" and "consistent". And I shall update that right now for clarity.
