You basically just need to tune your mod out like this. Add a burst-fire of your choosing, and make it semi-automatic. Note to have a good long AttackDelaySec, because the script bypasses this.
If you are making your own burst-fire, it's just as easy like this. The anim-event and weapon-fire idle is basically constant. But you have the option to change the amount of burst, and the burst-interval. Make sure to make copies of lesser burst count for later.
Having made your burst-fire MGEF, you need the ENCH to tell how much ammo you currently have, and only fire enough rounds. So even if you have 3-round burst, it should only fire when it's 3 rounds in the magazine beyond, and would only use a 2-round burst if there is only 2 in the magazine. ...
