The mod didn't work for me. To remedy that, I decided to use FO4Edit to modify the EITM - Object Effect variable of the Alien Assault Rifle, putting the value CritFire there. Haven't had a single ash pile since and didn't see any adverse effects (not even a burning effect on the enemies, which I was expecting). Here's a screenshot of the change:

      Good enough for me lol.

do you know how and if so be willing to make a mod that disintegrates as normal, but provides no piles?
I've been hoping to find one for a while for cell tidiness AND game consequence, meaning that you can use powerful disintegration weapons, but the consequence is that you can't loot your enemies. also just for immersion, it's redonk u can loot ash piles.

personally i'd have bloody mess function the same way. "damage at a cost as it were"

Unfortunately, preventing enemies from being lootable would break quests where you have to loot enemies.

is this compatible with CROSS Crit Gore?

If placed after Crit Gore...no. So, probably incompatible regardless of load order. It also doesn't prevent the ash piles from Exploding Eyebots mod.

    Or just use Mr Tidy:

    https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/33217

He loots and eliminates these piles quite easily.

thx for reminding me of that mod. I just noticed yesterday there's an area of mirelurk goo that refuses to despawn at my castle... probably cuz i console spawned several queens to "remove" my surplus of settlers for me before the missile batteries wasted them

Not a bad idea especially for those of us not using all DLCs and therefore no unofficial patch. I've a question to anyone who can answer: Is there a way to mod it so instead of an ash/goo pile the body just dissapears? essentially the energy crit FX would lead directly into despawning the body? I don't REALLY care about missing out on the potential loot. there's plenty more and I"m using a few loot reduction mods as it is. I think it would be great for immersion. If someone's willing to point me in the right direction I might just get off my ass and try to mod it thusly myself

Works! Thank you so much!!!!! I have had issues where Loot Detector took longer to auto loot ash and goo piles and this fixes that. Not to mention ash and goo piles are harder to find. I can use my laser and plasma guns again :D

Does this prevent disintegrations, or just the ash pile from showing up? When you kill somebody with a laser, will they vanish, or die like they had been killed with any other weapon?

The former; it seems to stop the crit effects happening in the first place

Is there any way to make this mod affect the advanced settlement turret mod? http://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/8115/? Because I'm still getting ash piles when using the custom turrets from that mod.
