Apparently not compatible with the mod "Clean Sanctuary", which makes Sanctuary Hills (and only Sanctuary) cleaner by default, actively negating (even reversing, if you load that one first) it effects.
On an unrelated note, does this put scrap in the workshop when they clean up?
It will say that when you install the mod for the first time (whether updating from a previous version or brand new). Running the initialisation should then let you use the mod. The initialisation just registers some script stuff that is needed.
Okay, I'm not sure what the problem is. I've double checked the code and tested it on my own game and it works fine. When you run the initialisation, it does a few things then sets a global variable as 1. In the holotape, it checks for that variable. So when you run the initialisation it should set that variable so after that the run initialisation option doesn't appear again. The only thing I can think of is something is preventing my script from running in your game, but I don't know what that could be. If you want I can upload a version that will show a debug message in my script so we can at least know for sure it if it running or not.
Um ... maybe? It's not actually my mod - this version of the mod is just an updated version of the original Clean My Settlement mod. All the setup for what got cleaned was done by the original author. I just tidied up some scripts and added the Auto-clean over time functionality.
I hate to ask but is there any way to get a version of this that requires Workshop framework instead of SMM the SMM comments page said that SMM inject the same things as Workshop framework so if a version was made requiring Workshop framework it would probably be more compatible with Sim Settlements 2 not saying you have to just putting it out there to think about SMM also said it works with SS2.
This version of the mod is just an updated version of the original Clean My Settlement mod. I just kept what the original author used for menu injection. I'm not really up to speed on that stuff. I do however know there is no compatibility issues between SS2 and SSM, so it's quite safe to have both SSM and workshop framework (which is what I have run with for a long time).
This looks amazing as I like the original mod. I like the "immersion" of this. The only thing is on the description page it is 1 item per 2 days per settler? Seems extremely slow, maybe it's just me?
I made it deliberately slow. Otherwise, I felt like everything would be cleaned up too quickly and spoil the effect. Most settlements only have 100-200 items to clean up. At 10 settlers cleaning up 5 items a day, thats about 20-40 days. I play on survival with many content mods, so my games can go for a loooong time if I want.
I did think of adding an option to change it in the holotape. I'll look at adding that in for those that want to speed things up a bit.
I've scrapped leaves absentmindedly so many times and had to cover the hole in the geometry, if only there was an undo or leaves that are known to be best-left cant be scrapped.
Very nice much better then me scrapping it all or auto scrapping makes you think settlers aren’t totally trash. I’ll definitely be trying this as soon as the save file stuff gets fixed in ss2.
I was looking for something like this yesterday on the SS2 forums. I was directed to whisper's clean my settlement. Went to get it today, and came across this just a couple of hours after its release. I'm about to test it with the latest SS2 (2.0h). If you don't hear back from me, either it works perfectly or it made my PC explode and i got taken out by shrapnel. If it doesn't work, I'll come back here with a hissyfit.
I would assume so, but I'm not totally sure. I haven't used Scrap Everything for a long time because it breaks precombines and was slowing my game up too much. If the original clean my settlement mod works with Scrap Everything, this one will too. You could always make a save, then install the mod and give it a try. If it doesn't work, uninstall the mod and revert back to the save.

super and thank you for the mod
just a little question if you want:
Does your mod remove large volumes of gray waste?

Sumfoo I use Sim Settlements 2. Most of my testing was done in Sanctuary with about 20 settlers and a bunch of plots.
If the original clean my settlement mod works with Scrap Everything, this one will too.
