This is really game-changing, especially if you're using a mod that disables spinning death animations from NPCs and creatures. You can't always verify whether you actually managed to kill someone or not with a frag grenade or an opportunity shot, so it heightens tension during firefights. Slow and steady, picking off enemies one by one stays the same, but open combat becomes a lot more realistic. If the target disappears out of sight after he pops out of cover and you return fire, did you get him, or only wing him?
The comment seemed pretty straightforward to me, cause using the XP bar to verify whether an enemy dies or not adds some ambiguity to firefights and makes things more tense :P
Hi great mod thanks!! A small suggestion, could you maybe add a small timer before xp pops up? Right now you lose tension during the scarier sections when you suddenly know that all combatants are down are no more enemies are lurking behind the corners. Maybe even a random 5-15 second duration :-) just an idea thanks again!
First off, I would like to say that this mod is simple but great. Essential in fact. But does this get rid of the XP gain audio cue? I have a replacer for it and have noticed that it doesn't play. Been trying to figure it out for a while and can't seem to figure it out.
Theres an unintended side effect here. When I discover a location, the name and icon stay on the screen until all the fighting in the cell is over. In boston this is terrible because theres a lot of locations and a lot of NPC fighting. Can only discover one location and the name doesn't disappear until you clear the whole cell
Tried to see if I could make a quick modification to it but couldn't find any better solution than uninstalling but it does work for combat but locations linger which is a little annoying
Stewie! Truly wonderful to see you in this part of the world! I hope and have my fingers crossed that this is a sign of things to come. And thank you Very much for this port!
