Everything works fine. But now during thunderstorms there is no sound of strong wind and rain. You can only hear the quiet falling raindrops and peals of thunder
I use True Storms with NAC X - Legacy Edition, havnt noticed any problems yet in testing, you could load it up in xedit & see if a patch is needed but if I remember correctly, theres no major conflict. Maybe disable the Nac X particle effects since True Storms already does so.
There's this handy MCM menu for Nac X now too, since lots of its features you may want to disable for various reasons.
Thanks for doing this, it's a small detail that makes a big impact. I noticed that inside a small building I just built (3x3 barn floor tiles) that the snow will reappear if I stand in one corner looking at the opposite. The occlusion seems like it's active in a 2-floor tile area around my player that moves with me. If that's accurate, is there a way I could increase the distance from me that the occlusion is active?
Hey thanks for making one of these for NAC X! Always bugged me to have snow just going through solid walls haha.
Just curious, does this patch remove the wild blowing snowstorms for a more heavy but straight down snowfall? I noticed I don't seem to get those really windy snowflakes anymore after installing this.
Also, is there a way to control the volume for weathers from the NAC X holotape? I would turn down the noise of the wind in the snowstorms since its not windy anymore but the only thing I can find in my options that lowers its volume is just the generic "Effects" slider that also controls things like the menu clicks/Pipboy noises.
I had this issue as well. I redownloaded NAC X from Nexus and then reinstalled it. I'm not sure if that fixed the issue but I also MIGHT have found that you need to wait for the little popup messages to disappear at the top left? One of the two (or both) fixed it for me as of now.
If anyone has a definitive answer i'd love to know exactly what it is.
[ F I X E D] It isn't working for me. Whenever snow or rain or any kind of storms happen my screen is completely engulfed with the most prevalant color on screen and the image becomes delayed, a really weird visual glitch. It isn't my load order either, I've tried it with just the vanilla game and it still has the same blinding effect on my screen whenever it snows. I've tried moving this mod above and below NAC X but it just doesn't seem to work correctly unless I disable this mod completely. If anyone knows why this might be happening I'm all ears. Was really hoping I could use this mod.
Side note: a similar issue occurs when I have this mod disabled, but only with rain. For some reason every rain weather is either blindingly bright and foggy or very dark and foggy. I've checked everywhere for a fix to either of these issues but it seems like NAC X is dead in the water when it comes to support.
[ F I X ] I found a fix! Apparently it has to do with the games wetness shaders being incompatible with weather mods. After disabling wetness in the advanced settings it's working! Hopefully if anyone else goes through a similar issue they can see this. Great mod btw!
If I wanted winter only should I get both files or download JUST the winter file? Also, if I didn't want it to be winter at a later point in the game should I download the first file?

But not sure but this may cause another bug.
I wondered if it would be possible to carry this a step further and occlude fog effects too, like True Storms offers?

Do I need to restart the game in order to get the desired results?

JUST the winter file.

Yes, only the first file.
