Thanks for this mod! Normally, only Strong seems to stand with his weapon drawn when he is a settler assigned to a guard post. Nick and Deacon stand there with their right hand 1st finger pointing down... very weird looking! With this mod, all my guards now have their weapons out, perfect! The guns, big ones especially like compensated gauss rifles, clip through the guard post sometimes but that's fine. My bots, Cods + Ada + Jez, stand guard with their arm/weapons raised but that's cool, they won't tire! :) Thanks again, this is just what I needed.
This is prob why in vanilla they don't equip their weapons - but many folk use guard post mods and invisible guard mat mods and this mod prob works fine for them. However, it isn't logical, guards don't stand all day with weapons drawn, their arms would soon tire.
I can't believe this isn't vanilla... Thanks for this important detail. any posibility for a patch for Buildable Barricades and Guard Posts? or instructions in case it´s not overcomplicated
how did you achieve this? the mod works flawlesly with the the guard posts described, but when I tried to emulate the values of the vanilla guardpost and linked the 1Guardidlen marker to other guard post from Buildable Barricades and Guard Posts they still had their hands empty.
I can not use the mod. Because the mod is incompatible with Workshop Rearranged and because your mod can not be moved in the loadorder. Workshop Rearranged will overwrite your mod again.

If you have Vortex you have the option to mark this (and many other esp) as light, meaning you are free to change load order yet without it counting against your max mod total.
I am using the NMM Community Edition 0.80.14. I have downloaded the ESP version. Am just testing.
This does not seem to work with me egel whether I use ESL or ESP or at which place I push the MOD in the load order. For me, the NPC goes up the stairs and stops on the last step. Then he turns around and stands with his back to the guard post.

Pretty easy to create your own patches with FO4Edit for other guard objects, too.
Haven't tested with robots yet, though.
