Your settlements are exactly what I'm looking for. I'm going for a Minutemen theme for all of the settlements. Ones like these make it look like it belongs in the game and not concrete Minecraft blocks. This one definitely lacks protection though. I'm gonna be saving this couple's hide loads of times. But I understand the concept that this couple just wants to live in peace and solitude.

I wanted to try something different in this build and just have something simple and play around with some landscaping with trees and large rocks. I'm happy how it turned out but yeah it is a little light on defence and by the number of downloads not for everyone. Thanks!

If you look at the percentage of Endorsements to DLs, you are running at over 10% - a quick scan of other 'popular', i.e. lots of downloads, BPs shows most average at around 5% - so you are twice as appreciated compared to others :)

Ha! Yes that's a good point, maybe I should be a bit more of a glass half full sort of person!
      Anyway, enjoy the build.

Ever since I visited Tenpines Bluff in the vanilla game, and chatted with those 2 hardy settlers who were toiling away on that remote mountaincliff (despite almost being drained of all hope), I knew it was the perfect spot for a wooden log cabin (in my mind, I envisioned the famous Huntsman Cabin mod for Skyrim), and it's taken me an hour (LOL) of going through so many Tenpines Bluff overhault / tweak mods here on NexusMods, to finally find exactly what I had in mind: this mod! Yeah!

Now, the cabin here looks awesome, and especially its interiors seem cozy (so it's perfect place for that hardworking settler couple to retire in peace), but I'll admit the garage and surroundings need a drastic overhaul to match the cabin's aesthetic. But as the Sole Survivor who remembers what the pre-War world looked like, this overhaul and sprucing up seems like the ideal duty for the player.

Suggestions to @irrelevantposter: please rename this mod to include the keywords Mountainside and Hunting Cabin. This mod is unique and deserves to be found more easily.

For mods users, here are my thoughts for some custom changes to the settlement, please suggest your own:
Replace for garage with a wooden shack, add a cute flowery garden (aside from the existing farm crop tract), a windmill (that mountain cliff must be a tad bit windy, eh?), a Brahmin cow or two, some ivy on the wooden walls exteriors, and stone walls or hedges to fence this place in, since a remote settlement like this can attract wandering raiders and hungry mutant creatures. We can also add some placidly grazing Bighorners to this mountainside settlement, and perhaps a serene waterfall, or even a cave or a pond to spice things up.

With all the improvements you've done to Tenpines, I'm not sure the Settlers are the hardworking ones here!

I'm glad you like the cabin. In this blueprint, I did attempt some limited landscaping with the trees and giant rock to cover the house ruins (with the downside being pathfinding in this area is not so good though the settlers don't go there normally anyway) but the area can still look quite spartan. The list of mods look good not only for fixing this but like they would enhance most builds (also thanks for spending the time to both link them and add a description).

Thanks for the feedback and I've updated the mod title as suggested.

I love this blueprint! I still have a few of yours that I haven't tried out yet so will be doing that in this playthrough. Thank you for sharing this. :)

      Thankyou very much!

I plan to make another blueprint, but that will be in a month or two.

I absolutely love this blueprint.  I don't have it within me to do settlement building for 30+ settlements.  Making this one nicer for the pair that live there was a great idea.  I like what you were able to do with the log walls.    I loaded it with zero issues.  Want to thank you for the work that you did.

    Endorsed!

Thanks very much and I'm glad it works well for you!

My original plan for this settlement was to make a hunter's camp of sorts but along the way it morphed into this instead. I think the settlers prefer this version!

Are those log walls from vanilla? I don't think I've ever seen those before.

The walls are built from individual logs. The logs are from far harbour where they appear as scrapable items in settlements. I spawned them from the console as you cannot access them from the workshop without mods. I use Place Everywhere to move them into position.

There should be mods which contain similar log cabin walls.

yeah - I was wondering how you got that real nice effect - individual logs!
Your effort really pays off - thanks!

      Hey thanks again.

Basically to make a log cabin, I place regular walls at the start. One log on its side is about the length of one wall section. Once I match up a log with the lining of the wall I can use "Place everywhere" to memorise its location. Then I just assign the co-ordinates to new logs and move them upwards.

Beautifully designed - natural feel - easy to import - and, well, endorsed! :-) (well once the 15 minutes thing works!)
