Quiet place in the middle of nowhere, good for a farm for those settlers who don't mind the occasional radscorpion or bored Deathclaw wandering in from the Sea. Ground's generally flat enough for building; I'm going to see if I can plonk down a prefab Covenant house there for myself. Nice usable pool of water, and close enough to the Glowing Sea for some interesting scenery. (Kind of funny how you can see the border with the Sea, too, where the ground suddenly turns to charcoal.)
Ive noticed you always say that you dont want to make borders... Dude its simple... You grab one of the ready borders used by the vanilla settlements that best suits the shape of your location(resize if needed ) then double click om it to enter edit and LinkedRef tab > Ref = WorkshopWorkbench - keyword = WorkshopLinkBuildableArea...The end You can also duplicate it before placing and rename it if you want... Also dont forget to check the box "initially disabled"
Actually you use that line in every mod and you make it sound like its some kind of hard task...Hence my post.(intended as assistance not a target for sarcasm ) Also note: users depend on it so its not a matter of what "we" want or like since youre uploading these for others to use...
I understand that you are trying to help and educate me, but I had hoped that you also understand that I have published over hundred settlement MOD's and none of them has that border. So I honestly think that people downloading my MOD's are kind of used to that already. There are situations where border works nice, however most of those situations are those where you need that border least.
Aaand that's it from me on this subject also. Have good gaming!
Whenever I encounter a large settlement with no build borders, I just walk in workshop mode until it tells me I'm outside the area, then back up and stick a basic fence post in the ground.
Convenient? No, not at all. But at least it tells me where the border is (which is generally about where I install defensive walls) if the modder won't.
is it possible to make a settlement in the CoA crater. or does the game block a settlement (player) within a 'settlement' (non-player) because i want to build there even if i have to kill the nuts
A homey place for a settlement, expandable and with a nice view. I especially like the Brahmin route, unfortunately the new captured Brahmins don't use the route and prefer to stay at the trough. The settlement expansion with Horizon works perfectly. Thanks for this new settlement.
I'll sure look forward to that, you're doing an impressive job adding settlements everywhere! May I ask if you could add one at the edge of the Glowing Sea, or near that location next to Waypoint Echo?
Werks 4.0! Great location. Real quiet down here. Another would be fantastic! Thanks Ragoda for all your time and efforts making this new settlement. It's 100% right on just the way it is!
Thank you. Your settlement mods keeps this old man busy. (+65) I have to report that one of the brahmin didn't survive a Gunner attack... I use SKKSettlementAttackSystem to test my defenses and I have it configured to spawn a large group. My apologies.

Also I use NotJustBasements with this and makes the Glowing Sea a viable option again.
Quick way to get here for me in console command is coc RelayTower06Ext
Thank you again!
