Just wanted to let you know my silence has been to do with how busy my life's gotten. But alas, modding is something I love and will never (atleast I'll try not to) leave. This project is anything but dead and I want you all to know that!
Here's what I'm working on, in regards to this poll.
We finally fixed it, after all these years. Really sorry it took forever guys, but you're probably tired of empty apologies at this point. Massive kudos to dangermouse330 for their esp, which was literally bugless. I am currently building a shrine to honor you my friend!
But thanks to all of you for the help, my pleas of weakness were answered by modders eagerly wanting to assist, and that is something that I feel truely grateful for. Love you guys as always !
P.S - I'll do my best not to make a f*ck up of epic proportions like this in the future
The lickers look scary and fit with my horror play through. I play on low difficulty because I just want to have fun. Lickers kill me in two to three hits and because I play with a dark night mod I can't see them coming. If you could please add an option to nerf them for more casual players I would appreciate it. Thanks.
Ooooo link there drop items with ghouls, add "Boss" level lickers that drop unique weapons, link the weapons to peoples load order via robco patcher? like if you have combined arms it could be a gun from there etc , the "boss" monsters be a named mob on top of that so people know..this might hurt..a Lot
There has been absolutely no effort made to balance these new enemies. The Lickers must have about 100x the health than the usual Fallout enemy. Yes, i know it is possible to waste my time opening some other application and learning how to manually correct all of the values myself, I get that, but what I don't understand is why they were set so insanely high in the first place? It's so irritating, and these things spawn in large groups so frequently that the game very quickly loses all sense of tension and become a massive chore to play. This would be a pretty good mod otherwise.

Pro tip on mods click the requirements and look at things that require this mod as a master the heath patch is listed there. That way you and others can see the possible solution to your woes.

Killing them is an all day job :) It takes an ammo store. Im not going to mess about with editing via FO4E, because years of fixing other people's mods oversights, has me jaded. I made it close enough, ain't going to work for me in 2024, so Im uninstalling. NEAT! COOL! SEXY..is not enough if there is no balance and why make the mod if you can;t be bothered to balance it? Im not playing this to script, edit, or do anything but Dl and kick donations. Well, 1 did 1 on this mod, and now it's *poof*
How do you turn the number of them down I'm looking at them in fo4edit but don't see where to turn the spawn rate down at. Doing a fresh playthrough on a massive collection pack and the sheer number of them is actually staggering. I've ran into more of them than I have normal mobs.
Got to looking in 4o4edit and saw that the base licker health is 800 that's more than a deathclaws health with just as much protections. That seems a bit excessive.
Not once in my life playing fallout have I ever got a fright. I said I'd give this Mod a try huge RE fan , assumed I would just see these out in the wild, I wont spoil where this spawned. But I opened the door saw it froze and it lunged at me through the open door I actually started shooting wildly and it killed me ! Absolutely terrifying brilliant moment. Incredible job on the MOD 10/10 thank you for making this game brand new again.

Nothing wrong with irl events, it can make you come back with fresher eyes and thank you for the mod, there are still people who cares about your work lol
what was the fix for them being 'cowardly' btw? Just wondering for something else I use where the creatures run away as well. i know how to use fo4edit etc so I can make the changes myself once I know what the cause is.
