Yes a lot of stuff is doubled like the other player said. Other things don't seem to scrap correctly either. I have collapsed homes with plots in the middle of them. Not a big deal to scrap the home but just some evidence of the mod not working correctly. Dumped a lot of scrap into the town without much progress yet. Hard to tell if I haven't given them the right stuff or if there's another problem.
Just installed and the settlement is starting to shape up nicely. Weirdly, the player home has everything doubled; including the building, which is the only thing in it's original place. All the furniture seems to be from the building plans furniture, placing them in updated spots, but it doesn't seem to be scraping any of the originals. The picket fence to the side of the building is also doubled. It's strange.
Do I need to scrap the original home for this to work?
*Nothing* else builds? No plots at all? If you go to the desk > Manage City > Details, what level does it show the city at? As noted in posts further down, you likely need to donate scrap to get it to upgrade from 0 to 1, as the Quincy 5 don't exactly have a lot of industry or materials when they arrive there.
Have you helped them with resources? As I mentioned in the description, Level 0 (the initial foundation) is intended to only fulfill Sturges original quest - so it has the basic beds, food, water and defenses that he requires....and Sturges doesn't ask for plots. If you donate to the settlement, they'll be able to go from subsistence to getting on their feet pretty quickly at Level 1, but it requires assistance from the player to get there.
i cant seem to get sturges to upgrade this city omg... i set it to this plan but its stuck at lvl 1 and buildings are from the lvl1 to lvl 2... what am i missing?
edit level is now 3 for buildings, i got 2 homes, 2 factories (small against the side of the players home) and one shop....
Because this plan deliberately doesn't include a caravan plot by default, it will rely on the player to donate scrap of whichever categories it isn't generating itself. If there is one or more categories showing low or zero resources, try donating a bunch of that type of scrap - that may kick it over into level-up of the city plan as a whole. Also, make sure that the average happiness of the settlement is staying above 80 in order for it to trigger the level-up process on the plan itself. The fact that the plots are upgrading is a good sign, as it means the happiness likely is sufficient already, however.
alright so shortly after this screenshot i started adding supplies... and turns out this was the element that had me confused as it so easily upgraded from 0 to 1... now level 2.... lets see :D thanks again!
haven't played enough with your previous Sanctuary plan yet, which itself is worthy of mention) but I will definitely vote. the concept is pleasing, as is the very detailed explanation of the plan. probably many authors should take note of this. thanks
