You can't fix adaptation with this values for everyone, everyone has different screen brightness, this values need to be set by person.

      Can you explain how?

In enbeffect.fx, there are parameters for adaptation that need to be adjusted as they determine the screen changes. Meanwhile, the adaptation in enbseries.ini is responsible for calculating how the adaptation texture is processed.

To achieve proper adaptation, adjust the settings as if you were looking at the sun with nearby clouds for maximum adaption values. For minimal adaptation values, find a shadowed area during daytime where the texture colors are also dark and make your tweaks there.

As initially mentioned, anyone claiming to have a universal fix (like this mod) is misleading you guys, because we all use different monitors with varying whites, blacks, and settings.

If you're unable to resolve the issue, you have the option to disable the Adaptation feature in ENB while continuing to use your preferred ENB preset, as the effect is not essential.

Seems to work as a superior replacement to the adaptation used in NACX, which was driving me crazy.

I don't understand why NACX got so much praise. Extremely harsh bright areas for me. Maybe this will fix it haha.

NAC is bloated and bugged to hell like AWKCR, without the proper config it can and will tank your fps, i wont deny it looks really good but it's a buggy mess specially during any of the radstorms weathers

Many mods adjusting these things and obviously conflict, use one mod and make the changes you want to one image space file, highlight all 292
image space files, right click what you changed and choose copy to select records. Don't forget to endorse these mods. That is where the knowledge comes from to do this.

    EYE ADAPTION OFF
Set eye adaption speed to 1 stops brightness adjusting
Set auto exposure min and max 2.5 for neutral exposure

    DEPTH OF FIELD BLURRING OFF
Set strength 0 to remove blurring

    BLOOM OFF
    Set bloom threshold 10
    Set bloom scale 0
    this should disable bloom

this works great for me with Natural Scenery ENB, however even though the descriptuion states that it does not make VATS darker, for me it does. a lot darker. looking for a fix, would be grateful for help

I guess a lot of this depends on which preset + weather mod you're using. The Institute is the biggest example of over brightness, even in vanilla. But in my case depends on the cell, say Vault 111 is extremely bright, I can fix it with these values, but then any other interior is ridiculously dark. Not a complaint really, since I had no idea which values did what and the mod kinda taught me.
But if anyone comes across these issues note that it could be your ENB+wather mod. In My case is NAT + True Storms + Ghost ENB.

For those having issues with the ENBAdaptation.FX, the one that come with the default ENB is non-functional. You can get one that functions by searching for another ENB that has .fx file, and the changes will apply.

For Example, I took my .fx file from the "Natural Scenery" ENB, since it uses the latest version of the ENB.

    [ENBADAPTATION.FX]
    Auto Exposure Bias (log2 scale)=2.0
    Adapt Max Brightness (log2 scale)=3.0
    Adapt Min Brightness (log2 scale)=-9.0
    Adapt Low  Percent=0.5
    Adapt High Percent=1.0

    wtf there is no this?

Inside of your ENB Series folder there should be a file called enbadaptation.fx.ini -- you just change the .ini values to the suggested ones.

I seem to be having the same or similar issue for some reason. I've put in the values for Adaption in the enbseries.ini and also added the values for enbadaptation.fx.ini but it is refusing to show the values in enbadaption.fx when I'm in game and have Adaption ticked for use. If it helps I'm running ENB 0.468 with ENBoost and only a few settings other than Adaption active.

I really need for this to work, the adaptive contrast kills my enjoyment of my game. ReShade has NEVER worked on any game I've used it on. On FO4, as soon as I enable any fx my screen goes black. :(

Is there any way I can apply these settings any other way? (Yes I followed the ReShade tutorial and installer as well as your instructions in the download.)
